Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). United Kingdomhowever just be aware the area is not the tourist hub it used to be. We were told by a couple taxi drivers to be careful at night in the area, but this wasn't a problem as we tend to get Grab's home late in the evening. The hotel isnt far from the train station however, a little bit of a dodgey walk to it, so only do in the day time. I want to highlight we never felt unsafe, just words of caution :)
The hotel offers a great budget option for KL, the room was clean, really comfy bed and tv offering netflix! 10 minutes from the center by public transport and car.

The hotel value is good , they let me check in at 12:30 which early, the area is quite and peacefully, there is local shop and restaurant in the area , they is also a restaurant and small market in the hotel and there is some amenity like shampoo, body wash, toothbrush and tooth paste

AustraliaThe room was very small but functional. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in my 70 years on earth but I used it and found it to be fine.
It’s situated in an area that has many wholesale shops catering to food businesses. Very quiet and very friendly. It’s extremely safe with a police station 40 metres away. There are huge local food restaurants if you turn left coming out of the hotel about 100 metres down at the end of the street. A mini mart 5 minutes around the corner ( KK store) that sells beer. Your only transport is grab or a 20 minute walk to the train station ( no taxis). There is no western food places that I could find in the area but I see most people using grab food delivery. There is a cafe next to the entrance that has beautiful food but only a local menu, their coffee is great. The rooms have soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower with other complimentary items. Coffee cups and 2 coffee sachets are supplied with the hot and cold water dispenser in front of the lift on each floor. Very clean room and linen.

MalaysiaThe driveway to Hotel is blocked. Motorbikes and sometimes a car are parked in the driveway. Grab cars can't drive in to let us down. Have to let us down on the road. Which was not convenient for my husband who just had an operation. Raining also an issue when we get down. One of our 3 different period stays, we had an adjoining room. Your hotel guests next to our adjoining room were noisy until 3am. We can hear them very clearly through the adjoining door.
The amenities given with a budget priced hotel and small size room is just enough for a fairly comfortable stay. The long stay rate was excellently thought out. And the 10% discount online was also excellent. The fact that the hotel is only 5 min drive from Hospital KL was a pure gem to us. There's Chow Kit market 7min walk away where I can get fresh fruits. Easy to get Grab car. There's a couple of good local eateries few minutes away either by car or walking is perfecto. The nasi ganja stall and coconut juice stall just beside the hotel are 2 other 💎💎. The nasi ganja stall has reasonably well-cooked food w friendly operators. If we need come back HKL again for Dr reviews, we will definitely stay Hotel 28 again. Staff is considerably well trained from reception to housekeeping. Your reception staff Sara is very courteous, helpful and smiley. Overall we are impressed!

United KingdomDark alleys outside at night as the markets were not open during Ramadan, I wouldn't recommend walking around at night unless the market is open. The rooms need a bit of deep cleaning but in general it's okay.
Quick check in, clean in general, comfy beds, white sheets and duvet cover, strong water pressure, open air clothes hangers (not cupboards), modern flat screen TV, cold aircond, parking outside for RM5 a day, lift available, snacks downstairs if you need to purchase, ironing board in the corridors if you need.
