Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt was disappointing they no longer serve breakfast after reading so many good reviews about it. The recommended place for getting breakfast wasn't open when I went there, even though it was official opening hours. Its a bit out of the main drag of the town, so expect to walk a bit in the heat if you want to head that way. (Its not unique to this property, it seems to be common in the area, you have to go out of the room to turn on the hot water before you take a shower. Just something to be aware of.)
Friendly host, close to the beach, bed was comfortable, the room was big, everything was clean. I was able to leave my back at checkout and collect later in the day.

United States of AmericaI have mixed feelings about the Oxxo across the street. It is very convenient to have it right there, and provides a lot of entertainment, but also a bit of noise. The street in front of the hotel can be a bit noisy at night, so if you're a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs.
Jacque is a lovely hostess. She's happy to chat with you as she bustles around working. The attached Indian restaurant is excellent and offers some dishes that I've never seen on a menu before. When Jacque and associate are not using the kitchen, it seems to be at the disposal of the guests so long as we clean up after ourselves. There is a small refrigerator in the upstairs hallway for guests to use.

CanadaThe photos posted on the property website did not accurately represent the (yellow) room we booked for 8 nights and paid for. The website photos showed a TV, fridge and microwave in the room, which were not provided. The TV wall bracket and cables were still there, but no TV, which was disappointing. We noted that the other guest room upstairs had a TV. The fridge was in the hallway and shared with other guests, the microwave was located downstairs in a common kitchen area. The view from the room overlooked an abandoned, overgrown construction site. The shower tap rusted off during our stay and we had to use the common washroom downstairs to shower, and no offer was made to compensate us for this inconvenience. The front door antiquated gate had to be locked and unlocked every time we went out, even in mid day. Had we used the property's shuttle back to Merida, it would have cost us double what we arranged for on our own.
Location was good, close to beach & malecon, restaurants, etc. plus shopping not too far away within walking distance. Good size guest room. Wifi was fine.

United States of AmericaStreet noise, maybe. But earplugs takes care of that. Nothing to do with hotel.
I loved the decoration, the ability to put hammocks up inside the room. I loved having various selections within the compound to go hang out and read, people watch, chat with the caregivers (Very warm inviting hosts). You can cook your own meal, awesome well stocked kitchen, just make arrangements to not be in the way of their own cooking. There isa refrigerator upstairs to put your items in. The room we had was huge and had 2 tables, you can easily sit 4 to 6 people. Great air-conditioning. Be respectful and close the windows if your going to run it. Large shower with hot water, turn on the breaker first. The location is great, just across the street is an Oxxo = 7 Eleven like store. You can get single use shampoo packets, you will need this if you forget yours (I did). They recycle there. The hotel has about 3 or 4 rooms, and on certain days an Indian Restaurant pops up....people staying there, or those looking for Indian food come and enjoy an incredibly delicious meal, for an affordable price, we had the chicken vandaloo, and Tika Masala(Yum) They no longer do breakfast, but they have both an American and Espresso Coffee maker, you make your own, and start a receipt to keep track of what you have drank. The whole place is sparkling clean and everyone washes their feet in an outdoor faucet to keep it that way. (AFTER VISITING BEACH), they have big beach towels for your use, there is a clothes line available to dry them, don't PUT WET ITEMS ON FURNITURE. Lorna was very helpful and will give you very precise instruction on the place, and you feel like it's home after that. There are 2 small dogs on the property, so you can get your dog love while there. You will be close to the Centro, the malecon or board walk, right there. The beach is right there!!! Go to HaGUAY. A BEACH CLUB, Also very close by, with a minimum drink order you can get a beach bed, and full bar and food service for the whole day. All of this within 3 minutes.

United States of AmericaThe property was shabby. In need of many repairs.
When we went into our room with the manager, the tv did not work. She said they’d replace the cable box. She never did. I asked for an extra towel and never received it. The step in shower floor tiles were extremely slippery. I almost fell four times. The room itself was never cleaned. We didn’t have a blanket just the top sheet. How do you have a room without a blanket on top of the sheets? The sheets had holes in it. The bedding and towels were never changed in the five days we were there. The manager never checked to see if we needed anything our whole stay. It’s listed as a bed and breakfast but there wasn’t a breakfast. Only to find out, you had to pay for breakfast. That is NOT a bed and breakfast just barely a bed. Manager wasn’t interested in accommodating her guests at all.
