How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is only personal preference - I would prefer harder bed. Otherwise no objections.
The staff was extraordinary. Always smiling, always willing to help, always supporting, always there. We had two stays one after another and hotel stored for us a luggage that was a great help. I consider a great value a service for washing for a very good price. Rooms are not super big, but clean and comfortable, very good vallue for money. Location is excellent - it is less than 100 meters from the Hoehyeon metro station, cross the street from Namdaemun and Myeong-Dong markets and 5 minutes walk to Seoul station. Next to the hotel are two 24x7 grocery stores and many restaurants and pubs.

The room was across the main lobby area where many guests sit and talk. We could hear them quite clearly form our room.
Great place that's near Myeongdong. CU convenience store is right around the corner, and is only a 2 minute walk to the subway.

Close to the metro station, one stop from Seoul station. Namdeamun market en Myeongdong within walking distance, as were the Shinsegae en Lotte department store. Short walk to Namsan.

Great location, comfortable (bouncy) bed, new towels every day. AirCon really helped, since the room got quite hot during the warmer days in Seoul (May). Otherwise it is a bit tiny, but big enough for a couple, if you don't plan on staying in the hotel for days, but who does? Location was really good, lots of things easy to reach, Namdaemun market basically right across the street.

Bathroom had minimal privacy and got very wet whenever the shower was used.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really appreciative of the laundry service.

The room is small but for the price and location it was perfect
Location was perfect and within walking distance of myeongdong food market but still quiet at night time. Easy access to coffee in morning and a subway station

We had to be very creative with our belongings as there was not a lot of space
Friendly staff who allowed us to leave a bag even though they were short of space.. The room was kept very clean. The bed was comfortable and having a small kitchen area was much appreciated when we wanted to make coffee. The room was free of noise.

More flat shelf space to be able to unpack.
Very comfortable and welcoming small hotel about a 5/ 10 minute walk from the metro Hoehyeon Station and also 6105 airport bus stop. Reception was very helpful and personable. Small well appointed and quiet room with small window for fresh air. Small fridge and electric jug. Very clean and well maintained. A 5 minute walk from the sprawling maze of Namdaemun Market.

The room is a little bit small but it's not an issue for us.
The hotel is clean with comfortable bed. Location of the hotel is central and easy for us to go around with some small restaurants in the area. It's quiet at night so perfect for light sleepers. Excellent customer service. We checked in really late, close to midnight due to flight delay and the man who attended the reception desk was very friendly, attentive & helpful.
