Kitchen was minimally equipped for self catering. The property was on the valley wall between Taormina and Castelmola so when driving to and from on 'excursions' always necessary to navigate the streets of Taormina and surroundings ! No restaurants within easy walking distance. Sound proofing between apartments not very good.

Close to Taormina, large apartment with balcony; use of pool and outdoor seating area; extensive views. Secure parking on site. Friendly staff who came to meet us on the main road to show the way down the kilometre long, very small, access road (the accommodation had no signage and hosts said the 'google maps' directions were impractical )

Before arrival, Federica contacted us and send us the coordinates get to the property, since GPS systems might guide you through a difficult road. One of the hosts, Carlo, awaited us at the designated spot and escorted us from the road to Casa Ziretto, which was very handy!

The chairs at the table and the couch were not so comfortable. So don't expect to relax here too much.

Beautiful location between Taormina and Castelmola. We liked the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere outside the hectic town of Toarmina. The appartment was huge and the kitchen well equipped.

There was nothing not to like.

This was the nicest stay so far . The view is amazing-so peaceful atmosphere and surrounded by nature. Apartment so spacious .The host Carlos was so friendly and helpful. He greeted us with home made wine and local farmers snacks. We even brought a bottle of wine 🤭there’s nothing to say but absolutely loved it! 10 out of 10👌by away you need a car to get there 😜

There is only one reason why the accommodation only receives the second highest rating from me: the walls of the apartment are poorly soundproofed, you can even hear completely normal sounds of life in the neighboring apartment (you could even hear e.g. the neighbor pouring corn flakes into a bowl). This wasn't a problem during our stay at the end of the season because our neighbors were relatively quiet and by the middle of our stay we no longer had any neighbors anyway. But under other circumstances this could have been disappointing.

Very personally managed accommodation, very hospitable owner who really cares. Very clean, pleasantly furnished; spacious, bright rooms that can be shaded very well during the day; very good mattresses. In the evening we enjoyed the balcony, from which you can see the opposite side of the valley.

Small paradise just outside of Taormina. The property is spotless and the atmosphere mesmerising. We were so happy to have found such a unique jewel, and the host Carlo was there to answer any questions we had. We did a cooking course with Carlo - best pasta alla norma we ever had! Should you need a taxi, ask for Davide’s number - a very reliable and friendly chauffeur! We definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back soon again!

The soundproof insulation is not very good, but it wasn't such a problem.

The host was extremely friendly & helpful, the view toward Taormina Bay was wonderful, and we had a huge ground-floor apartment. The welcoming aperitive was a bonus. The property is very well-maintained.

Sometimes there was water pressure was tricky. But not impossible to use, just from time to time not as comfortable as I would expected.

Beautiful and absolutely breathtaking location. Window view was more than I could ever expected. I highly recommended to have a car or to make sure you have a cash for taxi (it's really in the middle of nowhere which makes the experience even more outstanding). And other important thing: it's super clean. Looks like you can eat from the floor :) Appreciate this a lot.

Carlo was extremely accommodating. Best experience of our trip!! definitely do the cooking class it was our favourite meal for our whole stay!! The most beautiful setting and pool was beyond amazing!! Carlo is so kind and his food garden with fresh products is gorgeous!! 10/10 recommend.

Beautiful apartment, perfectly located in peaceful area between Taormina and Castelmola. Stunning view from the window. Helpful and hospitable personel who welcomed us with wine and snacks. The house was warm during winter. Highly recommended!

I little too secluded for us. Having a car is also must as the area is hilly with the closest convenient store in Castlemola,some two kilos up hill.The road to the property is also quite narrow, therefore I would suggest a small rental car. A few more towels available would be good. Also a few more kitchen items like a kettle and microwave would be handy. Air con was good as it is hot in July/August. Carlo and Fredrica are excellent hosts and are easily contactable.

The accommodation was good with two good sized bedrooms and a large kitchen area and lounge. The pool area was also good.

1. There was terrible loud noise coming from our bathroom everytime anyone on the property was using the water. So if someone had to go pee in the night, you were waking up no matter what. On our last day it was brutal, starting 4 AM the extremely loud noise would go off every 2 minutes until 10 AM (the noise last about 15-20 seconds each time) which was really really irritating. You would expect to have some peace in such a remote place. If we were in a city we would expect such loud noises, but this was crazy. (I can send you a video recording of the noise so you can decide for yourself if you are ok with it, but I highly doubt anyone would be ok with this - search for me on LinkedIn). 2. We basically had no privacy as there was only a thin locked door separating us from our very loud neighbors, nothing on the walls for a bit of noise cancellation and cracks in the wood and walls between the 2 apartments. We could hear absolutely everything, even them breathing, so we felt like always whispering to have private conversations and go away everytime our neighbors were there. There were curtains only in the bedroom, the rest of the apartment was for everyone to see. The host did not do anything about these issues other than telling us that he is very sorry and that things like that happen and are normal. Nothing was done to make our stay nicer and were even promised some welcoming appetizers that we are still curious about to this day. We think that the host knew very well about the bathroom noise issue (admitting that the water cistern is faulty) and still rented out the room. We recommended them to fix the issues before making guests pay for not being able to sleep and actually enjoy the remote property.

The property is beautiful and remote, but we would not stay here again due to loud noises and privacy issues. The pool area is nice when you can anjoy it alone.
