Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWifi password a bit strange causing a bit of a problem, as was the TV navigation. One bottle of water would have been a nice touch to leave for guests.
It has a great location, though a bit hard to find due to street numbering. It is bright and open with a nice bed and shower. The host was very friendly and helpful. Great to have them provide a handmade 'visitor guide.' I'd choose it again.

RomaniaSmall towels would also be needed, not just large ones, but I'm sure that if I had asked the host during the stay they would have given them to us.

IrelandAll good! The apartment exceeded our expectations and was an oasis in the centre of Rome in Summer, which was farily hectic!! Wisi was fast and great air conditioning.
Fantastic location, a ston'es throw from the Spanish Steps but in a quiet street with supermarket downstairs which was super handy. Also the bed was very comfortable and apartment had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Sofya was a great host and on hand if we needed anything, very welcoming

SingaporeNothing to dislike.
The location is very centralized and the environment is safe, Host provided a lot of tips like places to visit, food to try and even alternative contact number in case of emergency. Apartment is walking distance from Metro station, near major shopping belts and tourist attractions and there was also a supermarket right next door.

RomaniaThe apartment is not that big for 4pers, but for 1 night it was more than enough. The location is very good, close to Barberini metro station and to Trevi fountain. The room was comfortable and it was really easy to communicate and get the keys from the owner, who was also very kind to let us drop our luggages earlier than our check-in

LithuaniaI enjoyed my stay here. Just a tip - bring earplugs with you, sometimes the neighbours would stay late and be a little bit loud, and the windows are to the inner yard where they spend their time. Not a fault of the owners of course, but if you are a sensitive sleeper it is always better to have a pair of earplugs in Italy! :)
It is a great place to stay for one person or a couple. The apartment is newly decorated and very clean. I mainly liked it because of: -Cleanliness -good location (close to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, shops and restaurants) -air conditioning (also the apartment does not have much sun but during Italian summer it was a plus)

United KingdomUnfortunately, the windows face the courtyard, where there is very little daylight. We constantly used light in the apartment. The apartment was clean, but only at first glance. Dust lay in clouds in the corners of the floor. The pillows and blanket in the living room smelled very unpleasantly, musty, there were other people's hair on them and we did not use them. The kitchen station was all dirty, traces of grease, handprints, liquid leaks on the inner walls of the cabinets. At night, a mechanical sound similar to clicks is very audible. The sound repeats every 10 minutes for 15 seconds. I don’t know what it is, but it made it very difficult to sleep. I had to buy earplugs. We stayed in Rome at the end of February-beginning of March, it was about +15 outside, and in the apartments a little higher, about 17 degrees. We used the air conditioner for heating, but it makes the apartment stuffy and makes us want to ventilate it. This is a problem with most old houses, poor ventilation and lack of central heating. But the hosts foresaw this and tried to do the maximum possible. Be prepared for steep stairs at the entrance! There is an elevator, but most often it was busy and we took the stairs.
The apartment has an excellent location, you can walk and enjoy the city, suitable for short stays. Next door to the entrance is a wonderful mini supermarket. There is everything for a good breakfast and dinner if you prefer to cook at home. 50 meters from the apartment, just around the corner if you leave the house and go left, there is a cozy cafe with amazing pastries and sandwiches! The coffee is magical, we went there for lunch all the days we were in Rome.

United States of AmericaNo bedding for the 2nd bed. A rude host and dirty and dingy sheets and towels. I posted the host response that I feel was rude. I was not asking for anything out of this world , I was simply asking for blanket and 2 clean towels.
The area where the is located apartment was good , the owner was rude when I requested bedding for the 2nd bed for my friend to sleep on I was in formed by her that she would not provide us with any bedding for the 2nd bed she was just going to have to sleep like that no blanket no sheets. The sheets on the other bed don’t smell clean and look dirty. I asked for a few extra bath towels, because they only left us 2 dirty looking towels and one bath mat, the owner was rude and replayed that it was not a hotel and if we wanted bedding we should request it when we booked the apartment. so basically you have to share a bed because she says so! I will never book with them again! I like clean sheets and clean towels! is a must!
