Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaStairs might be bit hard for elderly.
I came back here after 10+years but they still remember and welcomed me. I had a delicious green pancake and loved chatting with owners. Hope others enjoy as much as I did!

ChinaThe sanitary conditions need to be improved overall, the bed my friend and I slept in had bugs biting us every night and the next day we would get a red rash on our bodies. I wish the bedding could be washed and changed more often.
1. the location of the guesthouse is very good, quiet, walk to ubud palace just 8 minutes, but not noisy at all. 2. The garden is very beautiful, I can see that the owner is very careful to take care of it! 2. I like the eggs made by the female staff for breakfast, and the toasted bread is also very good.

ChinaI think the young man I communicated with online, or the one who handled my check-in, was a bit cold. Actually, I booked the room well in advance, at least two months ahead, and then was reminded midway that I could only stay for one night, so I had to keep changing rooms during my stay, which I didn’t find very pleasant. But actually, the couple running the homestay are quite warm, but we didn’t get the chance to interact much with them during our stay. Also, their villa has two dogs, both of which are particularly fierce. This might not be very good because sometimes at night, the dogs might bark if they hear something, which can be startling if you are deep in sleep. And if someone passes in front of the dogs, they will bark because they might feel their territory is being invaded.
I was lucky to stay in the Lotus Room, which everyone likes very much. This room is on the ground floor, so opening the door, you can see a very, very beautiful garden full of green plants, and then enjoy the atmosphere of the entire yard, and then watch the kittens play. The room has two beds, so it is very suitable for traveling with friends. The bathroom attached to it is also very large, with a bathtub, and the washing area is also very spacious. There might be a little worry about being seen while showering outdoors, but it should be okay. This room does not have air conditioning, only fans, so it was a bit hot for me, but the garden is too beautiful, too beautiful. And the breakfast part is also very delicious, and very beautiful. In general, the public area is too beautiful, so beautiful that it can be said to make up for the shortcomings of the room not having air conditioning and the facilities being slightly outdated.

Hong KongThe bathtub is nice but I only took shower and I have to stand inside the bathtub and the shower hose can only be hanged in a very low position. It is a little inconvenient but other than that all are perfect. The location is in a small alley so the car can't get in. It is a little inconvenient when we arrived there but the staff was very helpful and they helped us with the luggage.
The room is huge (It is larger than my whole apartment in Hong Kong) and it has a very nice bathtub. The staff are all very nice and helpful. They prepare very delicious Indonesian style breakfast with fruits for us and the breakfast for the two days we stayed there were different. (My photos look not so good due to the lighting in the evening and my very bad photography skills but believe me, the room looks amazing)

MalaysiaThe shower hot water supply was inconsistent. I’ve got hot shower the first day , not the second . The room could have a few more table or short platform to put luggage.
The breakfast was amazing . The French toast is really good. The stuff and environment is really good and kind . Perfect for a getaways but also homey and quiet .

Great location at ubud centre. Walking distance to ubud palace and nearby eateries. Greeted by friendly staffs and a beautiful garden at the entrance. I love the effort they put in for our breakfast.

FranceThe dogs sometimes bark at you when you get in the property, but the owners tell them to be quiet.
One of my favourite places to stay in Ubud! So peaceful, clean, beautiful- the name of this place is indeed very accurate! The owners and staff are also friendly and helpful. I truly recommend staying there!

Hong KongOur room had no A/C, which we didn't know although to be honest it was specified in the room description. They do have rooms with A/C so if you care about that just be more careful than us. Furthermore, the toilet is sort of outdoor which is very pretty and fun but might not be for everyone.
The place has a very unique atmosphere. The host and the staff are friendly and kind. The breakfast is tasty and timely served. They can provide lunch and dinner too I believe, but we didn't try that. They recommended a good driver for our stay. Communication before our stay was easy and effective as well.

GermanyThe Puri Cantik is truly a piece of paradise. A little green oasis in the middle of Ubud. Everything is close and the main road is just minutes away. The room was super clean and really cosy. The bathroom is very luxurious and spacy. Loved the hot shower and the fancy bathtub. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast is really delicious. We had dinner there as well and enjoyed every single bite of it. Agung and Dewi (hosts) are very open, friendly and always helpful with valuable tips for things to do in the area. My absolutly favorite place in Ubud. I can highly recommend the lovely Puri Cantik.
