How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing. The gekko in the roof couldn't be helped and it certainly didn't bother me, despite its loud call!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location, though it isn't on the seafront, is quiet and it takes less than 5 minutes to reach the beach. Breakfast was served at the time one wanted it, on one's verandah or by the pool as desired, and I was happy with it. The pool was a real bonus, providing a great swim at the end of the day, or in the morning after a run.

The bathroom has an open roof which lots of leaves come in . They did explain that they can’t cut back the trees as they are the neighbours and offer to clean as you like .
All the staff here are very friendly and helpful with bike hire , tours and recommendations. It was comfortable bungalow with a large room ,fridge and air conditioning. Lovely little outdoor area to sit out of your room . A good location to the beach and able to ride a bike or walk to the main centre . Lovely clean , deep pool with shaded areas . Breakfast is available or you can easily walk to the beach for many other options.

Quite a walk away from the pier when you have heavy bags. The room is VERY dark which I didn’t like. The shower on occasion didn’t have any water which we had to tell them about and it ran out mid way though shampooing- not ideal. In general the water pressure was bad and cold.

The bedroom is quite dark and the doors that separate the room from the bathroom (outside) do not close completely so insects can get inside.

The room was nice and had a fridge in which was useful. The bathroom is big and open. It is well located- close to bars, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the pool and the whole place is beautiful. Staff were very friendly too.

It’s a bit of a walk from the port but we preferred the northern beaches anyway so it was actually a plus.
Location very close to a beautiful beach. Pool was great and the property is well maintained throughout.

The neighbors had roosters. I think one of them was broken, it was squawking at very weird hours.
The location was good and the staff were helping whichever way they could. houses were quite cozy for the price.

Not much light in the room

villas are packed closely so you can hear others if they are talking loudly. Showers are hot but moderate pressure and is exposed to the outdoors (no roof) so leaves and bugs can get in hence the mosquito netting over bed. I didn’t experience any mosquitos during my stay.
Cute Villas with clean deep pool and clean grounds. Its the first place that has a bar fridge.

Amazing staff, lovely pool! The room was very nice but hot very hot during the day! The outside bathroom housed a huge spider which couldn’t have been helped but made it a little uncomfortable. The location is great we hired bikes and could get around very easily!

The room was not too clean , just old I guess There was one worker that seemed to be not working at all but flirted with ladies and in the 2 weeks I was there he had 2 different women staying g in his room and cuddling up to him br the pool. No class.
The pool was nice. The one staff man was very helpful and nice. On just OK and called a horse cart for me that charged too much.

I arrived at the property and found the room unbearably hot even though the AC was working. It also was not very clean.
I did not like the room so I paid the cancellation fee and checked out.
