The furnishings very dated. A mat outside of bathroom looks old and dirty. Better to have a bath mat in bathroom. Fridge needs replacing.

Rooms definitely need some renovations (humidity on walls / mold smell), a beds could be more comfortable.

The price is correct and rooms are spacious, location is perfect right on the beach (quiet part). Staff was great (onsite: Difficulties to reach whoever was handling booking.com message box).

There was 1 or 2 lounge(s) or bar(s) right around or across from the hotel that were playing very loud booming bass music and the yelling singing style of karaoke for a few hours on the Friday night we were there. It stopped at 10:00pm, but it was invasive in our room, not only background. But other than this the area was quiet and the other guests were quiet and respectful. The bathroom floor was always a little wet from a drip by the toilet and also the rocks around the shower look very nice but don’t smell very sanitary.

We loved the location right by the beach. And that Lipah beach is accessible to a fantastic snorkeling spot. The rooms were a great size and we also loved our balcony. We were on the top floor which is great for a view of the hills around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Amed seafood soup in the restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was simple and good. There are good restaurants/warungs very close by so lots to choose from even when walking. We also found Cafe PeoplePoint just down the road had great coffee(good cappuccino). I love that they supply the room with a big jug of drinking water. We drink lots of water so this service was very appreciated.

No safety deposit box. Wardrobe had keys but couldn’t lock. Had kettle but no cord attached to boil it. No coffee in jar.

Breakfast had excellent choices. Staff were friendly. Room was large & comfy. Water pressure in shower good. A big balcony with pool lounge, small 3 seater lounge plus 1 seater & small table. Nice view. Location for snorkelling was great. Close to some wonderful warungs.

excellent snorkelling feet from shore,we viewed turtles and many species of fish and beautiful coral.The staff provided us with a much needed wheelchair ramp to access the room.The staff was so helpful

There was nothing to dislike

The location is beautiful and authentic . It’s a fishing village and you are part of it . Fisherman can take you snorkeling . The people down the road have opened a new cafe. You don’t need to leave the local area for small beautiful shops , fantasic food finds, world class massage and across the road a gorgeous gift shop. The hotel itself is friendly list I have encountered with person service and always a great suggestion or a way to help . Well appointed comfortable rooms. Made was such a winderful host and treated us like family .

Bungalows were lovely, Staff excellent lovely beach great for snorkeling. Food was good and a nice small swimming pool. Pool was shaded but was great to get out of the sun. Really peaceful place to stay

There was a general lack of maintenance around the property. Some of the lounge chairs were broken and doors didn’t close properly. The shower head was almost completely blocked although there was always plenty of hot water. Nothing major and still great value.

The location right on the beach was definitely the highlight of our stay. The coral just off the beach was excellent and provided us with many hours of wonderful snorkeling. There were many excellent local restaurants within walking distance. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

The rooms are comfortable, but really need an overhaul as some have mentioned and needs a deep clean. You can see dust on the skirtings and corners and the mattresses have strange bold stains on them. Bed linen could do with replacing. They clean daily, but it doesn't seem to be enough. While the mosquito nets worked well, they could also be cleaner. I had an accident with some dragon fruit juice which didn't help either. Apologies! We paid next to nothing to stay here so still felt like we got good value. One more thing, the steps up to the standard rooms are very high. If you have knee issues like me, rather take a grounded floor room (Deluxe).

The location on the beach as well as proximity to really lovely restaurants, spas and a mini-mart. The pool area is beautiful and very comfortable. Pool is cleaned daily. Breakfast was also good with many options from "American" to Balinese and Indonesian. Healthy options too. The coffee is great as is the fresh fruit juices. The food, in general, is very tasty but the spring rolls were teh best we've had. The best part of the experience was the staff. Especially the very competent and kind, Wayan, the manager. With the few issues we had, they always managed to make it better and one couldn't be angry around such humble people. Tip: Please come to Amed with cash. There are only two ATMs in the place and they often run out of money as happened to us.
