Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It has a magnificent garden and a wonderful lobby area. The sculptures and plants are magnificent. The building is very impressive. The rooms and balconies are very nice and spacious. The employees are helpful and friendly. The breakfast and restaurants are also very successful. Prices are reasonable.

MalaysiaLighting in room was very dim. Corridors and walkways in the garden are poorly lit. Staff at front desk upon check-out was slow and not very coordinated. Took 20mins to check-out
Breakfast at the Palace club was good, but could have a wider choice for the premium customers. Beach facilities are excellent. Pool felt dirty.

United KingdomThe size of the resort wasn’t to my taste as it is massive and therefore quite a lot of people. Breakfast buffet wasn’t great, just ok

United KingdomThe beach is dirty and littered. It was heartbreaking to see but I understand that it is open water and we cannot help that. But I do feel the hotel should have staff who clean the beach to make it a little nicer for all. There were children swimming amongst bottles and bags. I couldn’t even think of going in.
Absolutely stunning hotel. We were greeted by beautiful staff in amazing Balinese uniform. Nothing was too much for them. Big smiles from the concierge to the cleaners. The reception is just wow and true Balinese architecture. We were there for just 2 nights and we had a lovely time. The room was large and comfortable (yes they are showing their age but still lovely) Hot shower and lovely bed. Lovely balcony overlooking the amazing lake. The breakfast is amazing. They have catered for absolutely everyone and there is no lack of choice!! We are in the Balinese restaurant and the Japanese. Both very nice with fabulous staff. The pool at the beach was perfect. The loungers plentiful and comfortable.

South AfricaNo ceiling fan. We prefer to sleep with aircon off, windows open and a strong ceiling fan.
Stayed here in early May, quiet time for Bali as the resort and beaches were not full. Also nice weather, not too hot and not raining. Ayodya is a beautiful resort, very affordable compared to others in area, but with as good or better facilities. The restaurant offers good food, or Meniak street in walking distance has tons of cheaper restaurants and shops.

MalaysiaCooking and food service are extremely slow. Waiting from 30 minutes to an whole hour is common thing. Beach is sandy, but actual sea bottom, in fact, is rocky and dangerous, especially in low tide period. No life guard on duty. Signs of forbidded swimming are everywhere along the coastline.
Great location, lots of amenities, activities, great variety of drinks and food, restorants. Personal is welcoming and friendly.

New ZealandWe stayed in the Ayodya Palace as it said no children, (we have two older children) however, we had children running up and down the corridors, in the Palace pool and at Breakfast and the cocktail hour. The hotel provides ample other facilities for children, but the adults only seemed to be disregarded.
The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the beach. The style of the Ayodya Palace is very in keeping. The staff are fantastic, nothing was to much trouble, very welcoming. There was a good reasonably priced food and drink selection on the complex. When my wife got sick and needed medical assistance they couldn't be more helpful getting us to and from the hospital and keeping our room open for us as we were due to check out. We will definitely stay here again.

Super friendly staff and a beautiful hotel in truly beautiful surroundings. Amazing experience. Saw reviews of it being outdated; not true. Everything in Balinese style with great sense for detail. Most elaborate breakfast. A hotel I would very much recommend.

CambodiaAlcoholic drinks were pricey at the Indian restaurant.
Beach was the nicest of all the hotels in the area. We liked that the lounge chairs were on the grassy area, so we were able to view the ocean without having to walk on the sand. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were dated but clean and well maintained. Laundry was very reasonably priced.

United Arab Emiratesthe Indian restaurant Ganesha was not able to manage the guests and we experienced a delay of over an hour for our order, finally we walked out without eating there. Also they should improve their laundry service, as they spoilt my childs clothes which we gave for washing.
The facilities in general were very good at the property. My child really enjoyed the splash pool and beach
