Lovely spacious stand alone bungalow right on the beach with the best snorkeling out the front. Aircon & wifi worked. It was clean & cleaned daily. A large thermos of hot water with tea & coffee provided. Wayan & family were delightful & helpful.

I had a sea view bungalow and honestly, it was amazing. The room is big, a/c works well, there is a fridge and shower with hot water. Wifi worked perfectly. Breakfast was amazing. You can also have dinner and it was delicious. The staff is wonderful, they’ll help with whatever you need and always with a smile.

Not the property’s fault but the beach in Amed is rocky. You will need to wear shoes for beach walks.

Excellent value for this on the beach property. We booked the king room and it was fully on the beach where we could hear and see the waves and boats go out to sea. Breakfast served daily on the room’s patio! Great sized room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and room serviced upon request. Very hot water in the shower! Location close to warungs and other restaurants. Helpful owners who listened to us about the poorly ventilated air conditioner and replaced it

Be aware that it is a black sand area, pebbly beach. Unprepossessing entry from the street.

Excellent location on the beach front, close to many good warungs offering a wide range of eating options. Close also to shops, supermarket and ATM. Charming staff, rooms cleaned and swept each day, flask of hot water and tea/coffee making equipment on our little terrace, fridge in room. Adequate breakfast. Helpful with onward bookings (taxi).

Only thing I can come up with is maybe some dim lights along the path you need to walk to the bungalow. Of course you can use your flashlight on your phone.

For the price you pay it is amazing and it is right in the beach. You have everything you need. A bed, shower, towels and AC. Breakfast is included and good enough to start the day. People are friendly and through them you can also arrange taxi, scooter etc. You might even help them with it if you decide to so. Enough places to eat around. From places focused on tourists to small warungs where you don’t see any tourists. If you are on a budget Alur Beach Homestay is the place to go!

Google maps have a slightly different location, so finding it the first day, we called and Wayan came and met me and directed me to the hotel.

Wayan and Gun are incredibly kind and I felt right at home on the beach front. Wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the waves and although it’s a bit busy with boats coming and going, I’d book again happily.

The air con was not very strong, would have been more pleasant to have a bit cooler air in the room. Suggestion to be more eco friendly is to not serve drinks with plastic straws, we had our own stainless steel straws.

- great location right at the beach, nice view from the room (although boats in front) - very kind staff, and helpful (sorted a scooter and taxi for us) - advantage to have a fridge - room was spacious and had enough space for storage - good bathroom with good pressure water - bed was comfortable - breakfast was simple but good (juice, fruit and omelet)

Strong smell of mothballs/naphthalene, that toxic chemical used to repel bugs, Im sensitive to it. Found one piece and discarded but smell lingered. A few cockroaches after. I’d rather kill the bugs than breathe in the fumes.

Great location, lots of space and had huge daybed on porch facing the beach for lounging. Also very kind and accommodating staff, asked me when I wanted breakfast and brought it to my porch every day.

Staff hanging the laundry bed linen in front of the next room. It blocked the morning sea view.

There were fires being burned nearby quite frequently that stunk up the room.

You don't get any closer to the water than this unless you're in it! It was great to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. The room was very comfortable and well designed, and the guesthouse is also very close to a number of nice restaurants and cafes.

I would have liked a blanket for the bed but it wasn't a big deal.

The photos are spot on for what you get. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and serviced every day which was beyond expectations. In terms of location you literally couldn't do better. Walk straight into the ocean and snorkel the coral gardens. 2 doors down for a great bar with good food and sunset views, 2 doors the other way for a beachfront warung for lunch. This is heaven.

If you are looking for the most fancy and picturesque building, this is not the place for you. The fishermen on the beach use their motors in the morning to tow the boats, which can be a bit noisy. The bathrooms are functional but look a bit dated.

Great place to stay, directly on the beach. Rooms are simple and functional. Beds are good. We had one room with great view on the beach. There are reclining chairs on the beach you can use. The staff is friendly and organises stuff. Breakfast is simple and good. Is is a good place for the price!

The room was a tiny bit dated and could do with a spruce up, but overall completely fine for what we paid!!
