How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was super small facing a wall and the bathroom sink kept on getting backed up. The morning breakfast was not that great.
The staff was amazing. Super nice and accommodating. Great location

The room was on the small side with a window that had no view - felt a bit claustrophobic as there was very little natural light. The bathroom door is tainted glass but you can still see through it. No iced coffee at breakfast which is odd. Breakfast staff not particularly friendly.
Everything was brand new and looks stylish. Great location, very central. The bed was comfortable and great bathroom! Nice Acropolis view from the rooftop.

I was promised a breakfast box as I was leaving early. It never happened. The same with my friend who stayed a few weeks ago. Very annoying

There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. The roof top bar was gorgeous at night and in the morning for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Room extremely small for 2 persons, breakfast could have had more vegan options given the fact it was 4 stars hotel, although in the room paid 2 guests, only in the first day we received towels for 2 persons and cosmetics, starting the following 3 days we had to ask for a second set of towels from the reception. The last day was ok. When it's raining you have to take some food from breakfast in your room, otherwise you cannot eat on the terrace (one morning was heavily raining), I think the restaurant should also be open when weather conditions are bad.
Close to city center, clean. friendly staff, on the 6th floor was no noise at all.

The room we took was small, it’s fine for a quick weekend but if you’re staying longer I would recommend a bigger room (more expensive though), AC system is a bit weird.
Location is amazing and bathroom is very nice, shower as well. Breakfast on rooftop is a very nice touch.

Breakfast was rooftop but there wasn’t a lot of selection or seating. However this was a minor detail and would still go back.
Location was perfect, spa was lovely and staff were very friendly.

- noise, the central location led to much noise, essepcially during the weekends. Booking a junior suite, that was in the end on 2nd floor facing main street, did not help - roof top bar was not service after breakfast

Friendly team both on Reception and Roof top Bar. Clean, large room, bathroom. The Bed was so comfortable. Room had a nice style. Rooftop bar. Location.

Poor communication from staff, cleaning staff inconsistent with what they did day to day. No service at rooftop bar, but they were happy to pour themselves a drink. Not a good vibe.

It hasn’t parking lot and near hotel is no place to stop not even for a while. But it is all Athens centre problem I think :)

Air conditioning system can be modified through the lobby only. Need to call them to switch between hot / cold.
Great hotel, superb view to the Acropolis, excellent location.
