Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Perfect location, very nice staff!!! I liked everything. The room was basic, but it was totally enough for us. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was very delicious. We liked the water-machines. I would go back anytime.

United KingdomThe level of technical maintenance of facilities in the room is not up to the standard this hotel is meant to be at. There was a nice bath, but the stopper didn't work. It was stuck in an awkward slanted position and wouldn't move up or down. Someone had, at some point, spilled something pretty corrosive on the bathroom floor. No idea what it was, but it corroded the tiles in a certain place and left a very large, ugly stain. There was a sliding glass door leading to a nice balcony, a very heavy door, but that shouldn't be a problem if the sliding mechanism were maintained. It wasn't. Serious physical effort was required to move the door and it wouldn't close properly. Basically, whoever is in charge of technical maintenance in this hotel isn't doing their job properly, and it shows.
The location of this hotel is excellent. Walk out of the front door and you're smack in the middle of the tourist attraction area. Breakfast was very good, too, with a nice variety of tasty food and drink. The room was large and quite comfortable.

United StatesWe had some issues with the plumbing. At one point the toilet wouldn’t flush - though they fixed it while we were eating breakfast. There was a persistent dripping sound inside the toilet (no water leaking out of it) that would come and go. At night this was annoying.
Excellent location! It was close to everything - ruins, museums, restaurants, shopping…. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Good breakfast, very helpful staff, clean and comfortable room.

MaltaMinor glitches in the room, which could do with some upgrading and livening up, with minor investment. Available space could have catered for some more furniture and storage. But no show-stoppers, really.
Great staff - they're a major asset. Perfect location close to main attractions and in a restaurant area. Spacious, clean room and bathroom with no plumbing problems ( for a change!). Breakfast was fine.

Is an excellent location, just a couple of minutes walk to Acropolis and the museum. Easy walk around to other tourist attractions. Buffet breakfast was ok. The staff were friendly and spoke good English.

United KingdomPillows need upgrading, that is all!
The hotel is very central, walking distance to the Acropolis and many other attractions. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The room was old decor but all functional and comfy, except perhaps for the pillows that could do with upgrading. But there were tea/coffee facilities, a fridge, a safe box in the wardrobe, good size TV that worked, seamless wifi, toiletries and soft towels, The shower was handheld, which is a bit of a job to use, but hot and cold water fine. Nice reception area and decent bar. Breakfast in a good-sized, aired room, with a good mix of food (continental). Recommend!

SerbiaYou would expect a four-star hotel to be a bit more luxurious and to include some additional facilities. Nevertheless, it offers more than enough for a pleasant and affordable stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Athens.
Location can hardly be better. Hotel is just few minutes of easy walk to the Acropolis, and the metro station is right next to the hotel. You may take a train from the airport to Syntagma square and from there it is just one metro station to the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and they are being cleaned on daily basis. Staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast selection is limited, but everything is very tasty. Neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the entire street is full of tangerine trees, which makes you truly feel the mediterranean vibe. Great value for money.

United StatesThe hotel is starting to look dated. May be some upgrades and a new coat of paint to brighten the establishment up.
The best thing about the Airotel is the location. You are steps away form the main sites to visit. You have restaurants also within steps away if you want something to eat other than the hotel's food, which is convenient. Lastly, the staff was very helpful and kind. They always greeted me with a smile and answered all my questions!
