Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The place is 5 min walking to the sea and the beaches. The staff is friendly and helping. Every second day, they come to change towels and clean the floor.

ItalyI came back after few years with some friends, always a very nice place! Big room with a comfortable double bed (instead of two close single beds as often found in other facilities) and a single bed; a little kitchen with the necessary basic clockery and pots, as well as a kettle; a large private terrasse with nice view over the village and the garden! Air conditioning available, but I preferred to open the windows and enjoy the night breeze😄 Just 15 minutes walk from Kamari beach. United KingdomThe Wi-Fi was terrible, I was working using my laptop and the Wi-Fi never worked. Also spent multiple days without Wi-Fi. The water was off for two days and the man I spoke to about it was rude and said it wasn’t his problem :( The electricity also went out for a day.
It was a great location, cleaners were really nice and so was the staff in general. Beautiful views from the balcony of the mountains :)

United KingdomThe free of charge local produce didn’t exist and also we were asked to leave our room at 1130am even though my booking stayed 1300. Ended up paying extra to keep the room on. The shower was t very good and the beds were quite uncomfortable however for the price we paid we would not expect luxury.
Excellent location right next door to mayflower studios where we used their pool and bar services. Friendly staff.

United KingdomOne has to develop strategies for dealing with mosquitoes (e.g. do not open doors when it is dark, and buy some mosquito repellent).
Nice basic studio apartments, great value for its quite low price. Nice garden around. The local beach is 10-15 min walk from the apartment and is mixed sand & pebble with very clean water. There are also several extremely good beaches on both the windy and the quiet sides of the island that can be reached within 10-15 minutes by car. The local infrastructure is quite good, many shops, restaurants, cheap car/bike/quad rentals within the walking distance. There is also a local bus that goes several times a day.

The owner of the Studios is very nice man, his wife and daughters as well. The rooms are nice and tidy, cleaned every two days. The owner has a big garden with vegetable and he gave us everything we needed. Super and quiet place for families. Thank you for your hospitality! I recommend Afentouli Studios.
