Bar staff were rather negative and unfriendly. Thought they needed cheering up and be customer happy.

TV in room only had 2 channels (reported to reception on departure) Full English breakfast was a little "lack lustre" given quality of evening meal.

Room was nicely appointed and clean. Great value for money given location Evening meal in restaurant was great, if a little pricey.

This hotel is no exception by any means but I find the practise of adding a 12.5% service charge to the bill excessive. As residents we were given a 10% discount on food and drink which was negated by adding the charge to the bill. I understand it is optional but I feel it causes embarrassment to ask for it to be removed. As I say this hotel is by no means alone in this but I would prefer to leave my own tip.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, excellent food, conveniently located to visit Hampton Court Palace in lovely area.

Everything! The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food was excellent. The rooms were outstanding. It was for my mother's 90th birthday and this was the first time she has stayed in a proper hotel. She loves green spaces so it was east to visit local parks and walk along the river. She is so happy with her stay.

It was a hot day/night. Unfortunately the air con didn't work for us. It would only allow us to go down to 16 degrees. Warning triangle sign kept flashing. Hot, sticky uncomfortable night ahead!

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and clean. The coffee and tea supplies were great. The shower was AMAZING - the best we've ever used in a hotel!!

It’s a bit of a walk if you want to visit Hampton Court Palace.

This was my first time in the UK and the White Hat started it off with wonderful hospitality and comfort. There were so kind and friendly and my room was spacious and equipped with modern upgrades. The dining room was wonderful for breakfast and dinner.

remarkably helpful staff, absolutely brilliant menu and kitchen with some memorable dishes. Probably the best burger I've eaten in years. Beer was fresh and tasty, the room was fantastic, sizeable and super clean with loads of lovely touches.

Perhaps more attentive service at breakfast would have been good, e.g. remembering to bring milk with the coffee, offering the choice of when to bring the toast (i.e. with the cooked items, or straight away to go cold). But there was very little to find fault with, to be honest.

Lovely room, almost a suite. Warm and comfortable, with a nice bath. Food at dinner was excellent. We were spoiling ourselves, so the whole stay was expensive; but pretty good value at that.

Shower door did not close so water leaked onto bathroom floor - had to mop up! One large light not working No milk for coffee or tea Couldn't work the coffee machine!
