We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hot breakfast was amazing however continental very poor in contrast to previous visits Disappointed to see The staff very stretched and having to severely multitask even when very busy.

We would have liked a teapot rather than having to use a teabag in a cup; Evening meal menu was unoriginal and not much choice, food we ordered was okay but nothing special and expensive for what it was
Our room was clean and comfortable with very nice toiletries provided in the bathroom and good tea/coffee making facility. Carafe of water was provided and appreciated. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful

United KingdomDisappointed that the ‘special’ on the chalk board wasn’t available but it was still on the board all weekend. We were also disappointed that the Sunday roasts weren’t available when we sat down at 7.30pm, it had been a very busy weekend though. Not very happy about dogs in the restaurant.
Lovely quiet room, with a four poster bed. Very good quality toiletries in the room. All the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and evening meals were very good. Ideal location for the Derbyshire Dales and Chatsworth House.
