How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room was very small (I know it was a single but it was hard to move around in!). Tea/coffee was very basic (not hot chocolate, herbal teas etc) and the tiny disposable wooden spoon provided wasn’t really up to the task. Toiletries also basic - hand soap bars and unknown shower gel on the wall - not sure they “count” as toiletries provided. Desk staff take room keys back when you leave the hotel, and getting the key back from them when I returned after my day out was rather too easy - was expecting to show ID or at least give my name, but just said I was in room X and given the key. Not great for security, I could’ve been anyone!
Spotlessly clean, despite the decor being slightly shabby. Didn’t try breakfast so can’t comment on that.

Not going to complain at the price I paid for a group of 20 enjoying a weekend of rugby finals in London, where all we needed was somewhere to sleep and shower.
Really good location to Finsbury Park tube station to get to White Hart Lane, local pubs and eateries. It's a great budget hotel with a nice little breki, polite and hardworking staff.

Room was a bit small, and had to carry bags up 4 flights of stairs.. should be a lift there
We loved the cooked breakfast and also we could leave our bags there for the day

The room was too small ,also the shower was for small people ,the carpet was stained and it looked dirty.. Practically there was no WiFi , only for a few minutes I could connect

It is old and the bed is awful, like a half ball already on it. I had a hard time sleeping and the price is not cheap. The WiFi did not work.
The staffs at breakfast are very nice .

The washroom is very small. It's okay for 3 males however if someone needs to do makeup - it would be difficult there. There are mini soaps but there's no place to put them on.
It's close to Arsenal stadium so it's excellent location for Arsenal fans. There are also a lot of nice pubs nearby and good variety of cuisine to choose from. Regarding hotel itself - nice spacious room with small bathroom. The service is very nice and you can easily reach city centre from here.

Walls are very thin, could hear the person in the room next to me snoring. Shower was confusing as it takes 5min to walm up.
Breakfast was amazing and located near a tube station. Staff were very friendly

Room was tiny, double bed against the wall and very small gap around it. Could only get shower to lukewarm and bathroom only suitable for people of a medium frame or less.

The noise from the traffic was appalling as the warped double glazing window did not keep the noise out when shut, and I was woken before 06:00 each day because of the noise. The roller black out window blind did not keep the light out. The thin walls did not keep the noise from the rooms on either side of mine, and I could hear other guests talking very easily. With the shower turned on full, it took the hot water around 6 to 8 minutes to arrive.

The room was small and also included a small wardrobe making getting round the bed to the loo a bit tricky. To be honest it didn't make any difference to us but you should be aware this is the case if you are not as mobile as us.
The staff on arrival were very friendly and extremely helpful, the room was clean and tidy.

The location was perfect, Finsbury Park station a few minutes walk and lots of places to eat nearby. We came to see Pierce the Veil at Ally Pally and it’s so easy to get to from here. Make sure you go to Bobaguette on the way to FP Station for food and the Vietnamese coffee its fab!

Wifi too bad.
Location is excellent to public transportation however, have to be very aware of pickpockets. This areas is famous for pickpockets.

My room was in a 3° floor, so was not easy to get there carring my suitcase. But I survived! Lol One of the staff members wasn’t polite when I ask for her help, but the others were very nice.
It is well located, easy to get transportation. The room was clean, the breakfast was good.

The full English breakfast was very good. The room had everything you need. The hotel is close to the underground station.
