Rooms far too small

Found out 1st room a bit claustrophobic as lower ground and the shower cubicle wasn’t great for someone that’s far from skinny. However the hotel were great and moved us the 2nd night up to the top floor and this room was much more comfy and had a shower over the bath instead which was much more accessible.

Breakfast was delicious, great choice and the staff were exceptionally lovely and attentive.

Were asked to wait at booking in for housekeeping to finish. Waited an hour before asking at the desk when the room would be ready only to be given room keys immediately. The room was also much too hot so not a comfortable sleeping experience.

The breakfast was great & staff were friendly. Interiors were very grand & beautiful. Location was good with lots of local amenities.

The room was small and would have been very uncomfortable had we been staying for longer.

We were only staying for one night. The room was sufficient for that. It is in a good location.

There was only one pillow each which were thin, so asked for more pillows which arrived the second day

The room was very small and I couldn't even walk down one side of the bed , sealed window looked into a small area where the bins where stored .not a great room.

The picture on the website was misleading. I paid for a deluxe single room that was pictured on the booking .com site as much larger and ended up with a standard room. I was told all the single person rooms "are the same" & that "the picture was incorrect on the site" and I was "only paying for the ability to have cancellation abilities for a refund" which was not true with my booking. I did get a delicious breakfast that was included in my booking so maybe that was supposed to be the thing. Booking.com needs to correct the pictures on the site because it creates incredible disappointment in the guest when they see the tiny standard room ...and it has to be consistently upsetting and stressful for the front desk staff to repeatedly have to deal with tired, disappointed vacationers that feel as if they have been betrayed by a company that is usually consistent and full of integrity(Booking.Com) and the Grand Royal Hyde Park.

I liked the hotel itself physically. The fact that you get to experience some actual old British architecture and design was wonderful...and of course...the location is Everything. The bathroom in the room was wonderful. (It was almost as large as the standard room)The breakfast staff and breakfast were Amazing. The cleaning staff were great & efficient. The front desk staff was helpful.

The noise above our room was annoying. The lighting in the room wasn't great. Said room had a coffee maker, but it didn't.

Breakfast could’ve been better, the scrambled egg was poor , the quality of the sausages was questionable .

Room was a bit small considering we were given a complimentary upgrade , however, without paying through the nose you tend to get smallish rooms in London .

There was construction work going on and it was very loud in the room and went on most of the day

The room was a lot smaller than I expected, it was a bit difficult to get in and out of bed if your were on the window side of the bed

The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choices and good and hot, the staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful

great location right next to hyde park. there was 2 stations within a 5 minute walk which was great! room was comfortable

The room was exceptionally small. The double bed fills out the entire room giving you a small corridor to walk on the sides and a slightly wider corridor in the front of the bed to get your suite case there. The floors were also super squeaky. Every step I took inside the room made a squeaky sound from the floor. This was very annoying.

The location was fantastic. The staff were great. Very nice classy, vintage and a posh lobby.

The rooms were small the bathroom was tiny. Hardly enough room for legs while sat on the loo. Nowhere to hang hand towel. Towels on the rack were so high I had to use a coat hanger to get them down building site next to our room

Hotel and room was tired. Room a little grimy around plug sockets etc. Bed and bathroom very clean but scratches in bath and scuffs to all paintwork. Hotel toilets tired and taps need attention.

The staff office was right opposite my room 601 and they were very noisy certainly wasn’t great in the morning when I wanted a lay in after a night out constantly talking radios going wasn’t really happy they said my room was an upgrade I don’t know what a normal room would of been like but would of probably been a lot quieter
