We'd booked and paid for 2 rooms with breakfast included via booking.com , unfortunately this didn't come with the rooms anymore which we were unaware of 🤔 the host put together a small plate with 1 slice bacon which coukd have done with being cooked a bit more , spoonful of beans and an egg and a rack of toast this was a bit disappointing as we were looking forward to a nice breakfast, but otherwise breakfast was £9.50 each , I specifically picked this hotel due to the fact you got breakfast so if we'd have had to pay the extra we would definitely have found another B&B for less . Juice was out on the breakfast table but no glasses but when we asked some were brought out , We had teabags in the room but no milk whereas the other room we booked for our grandaughters had milk but no teabags so we swapped luckily . I know it's under newer ownership as we have been twice before with old owners and it was always spot on which is why we picked it again , Just feel it needs a few tweaks I.e glasses at breakfast and making sure rooms have tea and coffe .

As I wrote previously, the décor is tired and the owner did apologise in advance for this. It is a work in progress which seems to be going in the right direction.

The hotel was east to find, right on the seafront at the Northern end of the promenade. We were met on arrival by the owner and helped to our room. The room was functional and clean if a little dated in décor. Tea and coffee makings were available so all was good. Parking was available in the small car park to the front of the hotel and it appeared that plenty of parking spaces were available in the surrounding roads. Overall it was a great place to stay as we visited friends in the area.

A period Edwardian hotel currently under new management. The bed was comfortable, the location lovely, opposite the Venetian Gardens and a short walk from the beach. Staff very welcoming, breakfast delicious

The top of the headboard was very dusty, but this was a minor point. The room was very good value for my overnight stay.

The hotel was lovely and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The manager was very accommodating of my late arrival. I could see my car from my window.

Nothing £88 for 2 nights within walking distance of my weekend away thats good enough for me.

Should have checked in 15 00 but needed to check in earlier due to my schedule but staff were very accomadating and i could leave my car parked for free throughout my stay.

No Bedside Lamp or means of switching off main light without leaving the warm comforts of the Bed - ie after reading.

Off-road Parking is good - Staff friendly and Welcoming, Good Size Room and Shower Stays at same temperature. Didn't stop for Breakfast - It was basically a Room for the Night with an en-suite Shower and fairly secure Parking - this met all those requirements with ease. - Yes, I would stop at Gable End again

Limited parking on site but side road next to Hotel had relatively few restrictions.

Great value for money, ten minute walk to Restaurants etc. Clean and comfortable, good breakfast and cosy bar/lounge area. Staff/owner always on hand and friendly/helpful

It would be good to have a small fridge in the suite but the staff were kind enough to let us keep our things in the hotel fridge. The cleaner missed a little bit in the bathroom.

Quirky building right on the sea front so you can enjoy a pleasant stroll on the beach. Friendly staff and yummy breakfast was included in the price. They were able to cater to vegans too. We had the family suite so 2 bedrooms a bathroom and a small corridor area. The new owner has big plans for the place so we will be happy to come again and see how it looks.

Very dated decor and my room was very cold on arrival however I slept well. I didn’t have breakfast and checked out once upon a time and ready.

Location was good for me and easy parking access. They allowed us to check in early and drop our bags.

Bit of a problem with the loo clearing in room 16 but old pipework and a rising back pipe was probably the cause, I could see that and told the owner. Need a few flushes but got there in the end.

The Gable End is old and dated. Very typical of a mid 20thC coast b&b. However, the new owner of only a few months knows that. He was very pleasant, very open about the current standard of the premises and he has plans for upgrades during 2024/25. However, although dated, certainly the areas of the hotel we saw were clean, beds & linen clean and comfortable. For the price of only £30 a head can't complain. We (group of 3 blokes on a weekend on the lash) suited us fine.

Cooked Breakfast was perfection with a great pot of tea. Room was warm, shower hot, pillows and bed comfy and great location. Car parking available.
