Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was great and the bath, well it was a bath! Breakfast was nice and good quality and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location was right next to The Lanes and a short walk practically everywhere from the i360 to the Pier. Even the marina is only about a 30-40 mins walk away.

United KingdomThe room looked a bit tired and electrical plugs were inconveniently placed. It was hard to find a good plug for the kettle and hair dryer. The view from the room was not great.
The room was cosy and very clean. Amenities were great - including good quality teas, coffees and toiletries. Check-in was a bit delayed but staff made sure we were comfortable. The hotel has a lovely bar. Staff were very helpful and polite. Location is great!

The location was perfect. Close to the sea and all the shops and cafes. We loved the bathrooms and having a bath tub in the room. The room has everything you need.

United KingdomThe Reception staff when I initially tried to check in I felt were under pressure and we’re not very caring about my luggage just being left lying which I wasn’t happy about it should put the secure location anyway because I walked in and taken my whole which was Louis Vuitton so obviously attract sorts of people to want to steal it. I have stayed in central hotel Dave all over the country and that’s the first time that’s happened. I felt that the Stafford under pressure and I took blame over the management leaving one staff member and reception and a queue of people very unprofessional, especially this is a tremendous problem for anybody.
Great location and lovely architecture and style

United KingdomLack of parking and the price of any parking within a decent distance. The room was a little smelly and some noise late at night from fellow customers who were drunk and loud. Got a call from the hotel when we were out in the town eating our dinner to ask about the room service we had ordered. We didn’t order room service so this made us worry and in return to the hotel I asked what had happened and the reception couldn’t really explain…..did not put my mind at ease.
Location was fabulous.

United KingdomThe pillows were very soft and so not the most comfortable for me - but I can be quite pillow fussy! Not a problem for us but our room was up 4 flights of stairs, which could be tricky for someone with mobility issues.
The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, being on the seafront within throwing distance of the beach. The room we stayed in had very effective double glazing which meant we didn't hear any of the noise from partygoers or groups sitting outside bars, which was brilliant. The staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. The facilities in the room were good, with Nespresso machine as well as tea-making. The treats, bed and water/food bowls for our dog as well were really appreciated.

United Kingdomthere was a lot of stairs involved in it because there is no lift however that being that is because it’s an old building the other problem I found was when I walked in initially to check in there was only one reception staff for the reception staff phone the police was really busy and there was luggage and bags lying around everywhere I said could I leave my bag? She said it was Louis Vuitton brief she said just leave it there in full view of everybody could’ve walked in and just taken It, so I double back and eventually got a receipt offer but the whole experience of the initial check and just happened. Happy to leave my bag lying for any Tom Dicker Harrie to pick it up. I thought was very very poor so you really need to sort out the reception staff when you walk in on that particular branch.
I’ve stayed in that group many times the hotels are all slightly quirky and unusual buildings so that was good

United KingdomWas given the choice of ground floor (but noisy) or third floor (but lots of steps which is fine) so opted for quiet room. However, room on top floor was hot even with air con, noisy pigeons and low ceilings. Bathroom was clean but in need of maintenance.
Interesting maze of a building. Lovely bar! Comfy bed, I’m sure some of the other rooms were amazing.

United KingdomWhile the beds and linen were good quality, one bed has clearly been used a lot more and was sagging and quite uncomfortable. Airconditioning had very little effect on cooling the room (we know the seasons and weather have been changeable lately).
Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful with all interactions and they room upgrade was appreciated. Bathroom was lovely and spacious with good quality products.

United KingdomFor dinner in evening we were placed beside a loud group at the next table, yet rest of tables empty. Didn't understand that. I didn't like the constant loud rattling noise of trolleys being brought out in prep for breakfast while we were eating our dinner. I thought this was tasteless, especially as it was only about 9pm, different if we'd overstayed until after closing time. I didn't know if this was routine or for staff convenience because we were the only people left in the bistro at that time.
Lovely room, large and nicely furnished. Comfortable bed, great bathroom with lovely toiletries. Staff very nice and friendly. Excellent location. Food and drinks very good.

Decor, they used l’occitane, the balcony. Staff were great (other than when they were super stressed at dinner) Breakfast was lush
