The two set of stairs up to our room were quite steep. We had previously been travelling with some NZ friends with large suitcases. They would have struggled. There was no mention of the stairs. In addition the check in time is quite late and we found ourselves kicking our heels after a long drive on a damp day. I hadn't checked the check in time. If I had I wouldn't have booked.

Location was fabulous with a free car park next door. Lovely room - had a French feel about it. Ample to choose from for breakfast.

It is an utterly charming property located in a very quiet area adjacent to the cathedral and you drive into the old walled town to get to the property. The room was a classic French style, large, high ceilings, huge en suite bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Excellent continental breakfast. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Was not able to access room till 5pm and reception had limited hours. Breakfast only from 8.30am so had to miss breakfast on last day as had to leave at 8.15am .

This was an absolute treasure in an already excellent French Holiday. Located right at the base of a breath taking cathedral in a beautiful French fishing town. Lovely people, cosy and elegant rooms, good parking and a good hearty breakfast. A visitor couldn't ask for much more.

This is a beautiful b&b in a great location in Boulogne. This was our second visit to the b&b and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again with our two Scottish Terriers.

The only thing that wasn’t good on this last occasion was the room was cold. This hadn’t happened before but after returning from evening meal it was very cosy.

The position is excellent. The price ( with breakfast) is good. It was very clean with very friendly staff. Plenty of choice of continental breakfast and hot chocolate that was excellent. We booked about 30 years ago and came back again to relive old haunts . We decided to rebook on our way back to SW France as the position ( old town) and ease of parking with large historic rooms made it a perfect choice

The service was at the minimum necessary (e.g. not enough toiletries), continental breakfast but not diverse enough in case of food intolerances.

The interior is beautiful, the rooms have their personality. The stuff is very friendly. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the old town.

As cheese and charcuterie are served, which is already a compromise on the traditional French breakfast, eggs would be a welcome addition.

The accommodation generally and the bedrooms in particular are spcaious, comfortably and beautifully decorated and furnished in a traditional style with immaculate good taste. Breakfast was perfect in the traditional french style, with good quality french bread (much better than you normally get in France these days) and proper coffee, made in the kitchen and served by the staff, not self served from a machine.

very poor wifi in my bedroom, despite having an additional router instaled in the bathroom. my experience might have been due to the pasword not being updated for guests within the pictureframe on the table. I WOULD ALSO NOT RECCOMEND THE RESTAURANT NEARBY (Haute de ville). THE STAFF WERE BRUSQUE, TOO KEEN TO FINISH WORK (i HAD A 4 COURSE MEAL IN 45MIN!) AND THEN I GOT FOOD POISONING, WHICH LUCKILY STARTED JUST AS I GOT HOME. next time i will go back to the Brasserie on the main square, a 10min walk away
