How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We really had no complaints
Breakfast was good, friendly staff, Great location, just a short walk from the center of Annecy. Quiet at night Nice garden ,Many guests had breakfast in the garden. Parking was good and secure.

Quite expensive for us, but most hotels in Annecy seemed expensive.
Large room with comfy bed. Nice quiet garden with plenty of seating. Easy walk to lake and old town. Friendly helpful staff.

Internet speed is a little slow, breakfast menu could be better
The location is pretty amazing, at a walking distance from the Train station. Very friendly and polite staff, rooms are spacious and clean.

Can think of nothing at all
Location very close to railway station and 10 minute walk to old town. Breakfast choice was extensive and of a high quality. Garden was useful and all the staff were helpful and willing to accommodate any requirements and solve minor problems with the safe!

Basic hotel room with beds, desk, fridge, TV, kettle, closet and safe. Convenient location to train station, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre. It was quite cold while we were in Annecy, so we appreciated the ability to control the room temperature.

We had a problem with the shower which was resolved rather reluctantly. The walk in to town at night was along a rather threatening street.
Clean, good parking and breakfast. Nice little garden to sit in.

I loved everything about Les Terresses
The breakfast was so good. So many delicious/fresh choices. The lovely family who are the owners and their entire staff couldn’t be more accommodating. I am an older/solo traveler and felt safe and so comfortable. I love the beautiful green gardens that the breakfast area looks out on. And, for me, the location was perfect. An easy walk from the train station and also easy walk to Old Town and Lake Annecy.

There is nothing to complain about.
I stayed in Annecy for 2 nights and this hotel has no downsides. Good location, private parking garage, welcoming staff, modern, clean, comfortable and spacious rooms and a very good breakfast.

The back of the hotel behind the gardens could do with tidying up .

Lovely hotel, with a nice room and bathroom. Staff were very friendly. It came with a parking spot, which suited us, as we made a base there to travel from each day in the area. It was also an easy walk into town each day, and a very safe area. We recommend this place.

The location was good, only 10 minutes walk to the old town. The free car park was a real bonus. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful, her English was very good. The room was reasonably spacious, it was very comfortable.

Very basic room, we had bunk beds in our room as well as a queen bed. Towels need updating.
Parking was on site, lovely garden. Check-in easy and was we were given a map and information on places to visit. Supermarket close.
