The room condition is not very good; some door locks were broken. The lobby is very cramped and congested. Do not expect anything more than just an adequate stay for a night or two.

The cost is very minimal and compared to that the room condition is okay. The location is very close to Annecy lake. The owner was also helpful.

Instructions were hopeless for SatNav for someone who didn’t previously know the town. It is not Place St François as all the info suggests and which neither of our SatNavs could find. The full title is needed!

Because it's in the centre, it isn't possible to park directly at the hotel, the nearest car park isn't far away nor expensive, but it makes carrying luggages complicated, especially since the are no elevators in the hotel. Prepare a light pack for this one.

The location could hardly be any better, the hotel is in the old centre, near the river and all the restaurants. Beautiful area. The hotel itself feels old and authentic.

Amazing location in the heart of Annecy. Exceptional value for money. Happy to trade a couple of of stars for the location and the view from the balcony.

While in basic overall repair - plumbing, electrical, bed - the hotel is very old and shows every bit of it. Loose carpet, cracked and broken bathroom tiles, some sketchy looking blankets. Our unairconditioned lodging overlooked an alley, a adjoining restaurants garbage odors wafting up to our toasty room. Pigeons roosted in the eaves outside our windows, coming in to visit on two occasions. A convenient fan helped with the temperature. If you simply need a place to sleep, and don’t mind the wildlife, the Savoie is fine.

Ideally located in the old town, the Savoie is extremely convenient. The manager was very welcoming and gracious - a genuine pleasure to talk to.

i absolutely loved staying at Hotel de Savoie. It was quaint, full of character and the staff were just wonderful. Struggled to get on the wifi in my room but honestly that just added to the rustic charm!

Easy check in and out. Great location in the town centre, however as a result it was a bit noisy at night (partying people) and first thing in the morning (delivery lorries etc)

Room was super-small, no ventilation so had to use the fan even. though it was really cool outside. The bathroom had known better days, so had the bedding, falling apart on one side. It’s relatively clean, but hard to make a place that needs refurbishment look good. I don’t mind very simple places, and have slept from lodges in Nepal to 5 stars, but I think the problem here is the price point.

The ‘courtyard’ our room looked onto was full of bins and the bathroom drains didn’t smell great.
