Only two power outlets in the shared dorms, and one is by the sinks, so not everyone can charge the phone at night. Also, no private toilet for women on the bottom floor (only mixed and a private mens toilet).

The room was too small and smelly. The people staying in the same room with me has their stuff everywhere.

It was everyhing that I expected. Not very fancy but nice and cozy. The breakfast the same, it had everything I needed. The place was big and had many places to hang out outisde the room. The views were very nice.

Kitchen and common room closed at 22:00. It was very cold in the room and common room. Facilities looked like they needed some renovation. No sink at the toilet.

The hallway was not lit and was a little bit creepy at night, but we didn't feel unsafe, just a little skittish.

The hostel is a 25-30 mins walk from old town/station, expect hilly climbs or steps, the "short cut" way to reach the hostel through residential area is steep. The pillow needs updating, wifi is only available in the main hall & in the library, for some reason the shower in our room stinks like urine.

I liked the style of the bed (even though I bumped my head) because even if it doesn't have curtains it still gives a little privacy. I particularly like the coffee machine at breakfast because it gives variety of options, there's also one accessible 24/7 in the main hall where you have to put money in.

The bathrooms could improve. The toilets are separated from the showers and there's no sink in the toilet room, so after you've "done your thing" you have to walk back to your room or somewhere else to wash your hands. The shower itself is just acceptable, I don't like the fact you have to keep pushing a button to have some water and also doesn't have temperature regulation (but it is warm so is comfortable and okay).

Cozy and nice hostel, I like the fact it's near a forest. You can have breakfast with a nice view of the mountains and the lake, but the breakfast provided by the hostel is not very good so I'd suggest you make your own at the kitchen. The hostel is clean and has good infrastructure, the staff is pretty friendly as well. A good place to stay, would come back.

The room was a little cramped.

Though not in the immediate centre of the city, I found the hostel to be in a lovely quiet area with great views east over the lake and to the mountains rising above, from where I could watch hot air balloons drift across high above the lake, as the sun also began to appear. The kitchen cooking facilities were very good as was breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The four-bed dormitory, which had an ensuite, felt a little cramped but the beds were comfy and everything was tidy and clean. I would have no hesitation in staying in this hostel if I am again in Annecy.

Room wasn't was I expected, four beds with very small lockers, barely enough space for a small backpack. You just need to trust other roommates if you have more stuff as there is not storage space. Bathroom was inside the room, awkward to use it, two sinks inside the room but loo was on a separate area, shared from everyone. As a hostel, it was quite basic but totally worth the price of it in that expensive area.

Good location, quite hard to go on foot though as it's on the mountain. Nice, basic breakfast, nothing too fancy. Nice stuff and very helpful.

Shutter on window was broken and shower temperature couldn't be adjusted so hot showers in summer were not fun!!

The location was amazing! 1.4km down to the beach. And same to town (public bus to the door if preferred less than €2) Kitchen was great, breakfast was a nice bonus! Staff were friendly and welcoming 😀

The pillows were not great and need changing, there is no air conditioning in the rooms so can get quite hot especially with other people there. No sinks in the toilets and no soap in the rooms (where the sinks are). Showers are fixed to the wall and only have one temperature setting. (These are only minor details though, which didn't have much effect on our trip). Wifi did not work in room.

Great location with a fantastic view, lovely people and facilities. Comfortable beds, lounging areas and round the clock security. Really good value for money especially in such a pricey place like Annecy. Recommend this place.

Run down overall. Showers weren't appealing with push starts every few seconds, some lights were out, hole in one wall, smelled like it wasn't very clean, wifi doesn't work in basement.

Enough room for our large family, excellent location, breakfast included was nice. Comfortable beds. Staff were lovely and accommodating.
