Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast was average
Excellent location with private parking (we reserved the spot before arrival). The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and quiet.

Only nice restaurant evening meal
Nice hotel very busy which is good for the area. Helpful staff. Disappointed evening restaurant not open but cafeteria was. Breakfast was served in restaurant excellent

..the cost of parking was steep as was the room cost for a 1 night stay when time is tight - stay longer to get really good value..
..a modern 4 star, well run hotel..lovely food at the restaurant..good room amenities although don't expect - as you near the North coast and the ferry - English speaking t.v.

The menu del dia was a bit disappointing for the price we paid, but this is a minor issue. The hotel and its price more than made up for it.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town, but in part of the new town that is very attractive and where there are plenty of nearby options for food and drink popular with local people rather than tourists, whether Spanish or foreign. The bus to the high-speed station arrives and departs nearby and the facilities in the room we had were very good.

The restaurant was closed both nights we stayed so had to eat in the cafe. There are restaurants close but many decent ones closed on Sunday evenings. Bedroom too warm for us. Cleaning could check behind doors and under the bed.
Check in and reserved parking good. Not as close to old town as expected. Nice walk though. Down to the river then follow it to the bridge and over to the old town. Room was good but pretty warm at night as air-con not too good.

Location could have been better, but we didn't understand the layout of the city before we travelled, so that is on us.
Hotel was walking distance to all the things we wanted to see—between the more touristy old town and the more contemporary part of town. Room was just fine, nothing special.

Nothing I didn't like
I was travelling by motorcycle and the hotel was able to offer an option for private parking which was great for me. Checking in and out was easy and quick. An early breakfast time suited me.

Initially we asked for a quiet room, sadly this wasn't the case so we changed rooms, this was then ok. Hotel said it has parking but look carefully!!! You have to pay for parking, and you have to book a space. There aren't enough spaces for rooms, and you'll be made to park in the street, which gets really busy and we drive around for ages looking for a space, had to leave the rental car in a loading bay for the hotel as no other option. The young lady on reception was argumentative and rigid in her unwillingness to help us as customers. We spoke to Manuel who helped us (otherwise we wouldn't have stayed). So he saved the day.
Bed was comfortable Restaurant staff great,food ok. Especially the cheesecake. Hotel manager Manuel was really helpful and proactive with helping us solve a problem with parking.

Thin wall... heard some morning love-making activity from the neighbors :)
The bed was super comfy! The bathroom even had eye makeup remover which was very thoughtful! Never seen that anywhere :) great touch indeed. The parking garage is small but manageable, equipped with Electric charging for no charge so that was a bonus!

We had two issues with our room. One is that it was impossible to control the temperature in the room. It was warmer than comfortable, and it made sleeping difficult. The second was on New Year’s Eve. We began to smell cooking food in our room. It smelled like food being prepared in a fryer. That smell permeated the hallway and our room. It was not pleasant. It did not dissipate until the next day. Not sure where it was coming from. Could it have been someone cooking in their room? I can’t imagine that being the case but who knows.
The location was terrific, and it was a very good value for the dollar. The food was excellent.
