Beds were very soft and uncomfortable The hotel needs maintenance, the bathroom fan was broken, shower tray was hanging off the wall. The hotel is not built well, we left the first room as we had people above us and with only a wooden plank floor we heard them talking and moving around, disturbing our sleep. There was no noise isolation. The fridges in the rooms make noise.

Nice view of countryside Staff incredibly friendly and helpful, and fixed problems when they arose Breakfast was good enough, although only fruits and bread, tomato, & cucumber for vegans.

This is not really a didn’t like but we had to go to the supermarket several times as the restaurant was not open and we needed tea bags and milk and food for the evening, as our evenings were to relax on the balcony and plan the next day

Very friendly staff, views were amazing as our room looked out at the sea and mountains. We watched the sun rise every morning. Lovely and quiet- the school across the road was not an issue as we were out exploring the island all day.

There's an american school just opposite the hotel so traffic can be a bit of a nightmare at end of the school day when the parents pick up their kids but just avoid going in or out at that time and it's fine.

room was pleasant, private patio area outside in the sun was very nice, bathroom was excellent. it was a shame the on-site restaurant wasn't open any more but that wasn't their fault as it was run by a 3rd party and the staff pointed us at a superb restaurant about 15 minutes walk away - we ate there 3 days in row.

Reception hours. Having a reception open in the morning ( before 11 am ) and late afternoon ( after 3 pm) would be very helpful. I had to email to find out information about checking out and received a helpful response. On two of the 3 days I waited until 11.15 and reception was not open. It would be useful to have perhaps a small information pack in each room if reception is open so infrequently. (I was given a list of restaurants by a helpful handyman who was working on the property when we arrived)

Breakfast was very good. We had ground floor room, which was delightful but, unfortunately due to the bare floorboards above we were disturbed by a family walking up and down during the night and very early mornings. Maybe some floor coverings would alleviate this issue?

Air-con was very noisy and had to keep it on during night. But with ear-plugs that was also fine!

Location was peaceful, rooms clean and nice and breakfast ok. Staff also friendly and helpful.

Isolation between rooms is far from perfect. The restaurant is closed, you'll have to take car to find one.

The environment is very pleasant, with a nice view of the nearby mountain. The breakfast was very good. The terrace was a plus, well oriented, especially during the hot evening. The swimming pool was very appreciated.

Can’t review the restaurant, or bar, or reception as they were all unexpectedly shut. All week.

Room, grounds, location (for hiking holiday base) all excellent. Should be a 10/10 review but the restaurant, bar and reception were closed without warning all week. Groundsman was super nice and helpful, but communication was an issue. would’ve been better to have not had to drive for a meal every night.

Great disappointmnet was that the restaurant was permanenty closed during our visit and there was no bar available either. Thus we had to either drive or take a taxi to a restaurant nearby or else have a picnic in our room. Neither desirable nor expected!

Excellent and very roomy bedroom with separate outside seating area to the rear. Lovely breakfast room with prefectly adequate breakfast, overseen by the extremely helpful Anna. Excellent pool.

Not all the staff speak English, they sporadically are present and we did not find them overly helpful. The check in experience was poor we had to carry our luggage, with very limited explanation given. The breakfast is really not great. I would not pay for it if we had a car to travel. The hotel is peaceful but the guests sometimes can be loud.

The hotel is beautiful, in the countryside with quite a unique architecture and a road accessing directly to a hike (though the road was not well maintained and the map given was poor to help). The restaurant close by Casa Miranda does simply some of the most indulgent desert and great steak.

Noise from room above was a nuisance. - not fault of guests - just old fashioned wood floors. Breakfast service was a little strained at times but still good in the round. I was looking forward to the pool but at 19 C - it was too cool to be a leisure dip. Lot of security : locked gates , cameras etc. Wasn’t conducive to relaxing atmosphere. Furnishings and some fabrics eg towels need attention.

Nice location , nice ground floor room , good room amenities , good car parking , breakfast was ‘fairly’ good. Chap checking us in was great. Powerful walk-in shower , bathrobes. Room safe was welcome. Kettle with tray , fridge and bottled water - all good. Comfy bed with nice linen.

The tables and chairs have seen better days . Everything was self service. No tablecloths or mats. Only one girl who was amazing!

Overall the breakfast was good. There was plenty of everything and lots of local produce.

The pool facilities were getting a little dated. Difficult to recommend the property if you did not have a car.

Needing a key card to pass through every door & gate on site was a minor irritation, otherwise a nice relaxing stay.

Actually we have never seen someone being in the reception and the check-in was done by a friendly staff member, that however seemed to just stop by coincidence. So the introduction in the hotel facilities was rather short, however still functional and the guy was very friendly. For check-out we dropped the key at breakfast area, since reception again was emtpy. Altough the pool area is very clean and nice, the water in the pool is toooo cold, a display showed 21 degress water temp. We just had a quick swim :)

This is a very nice place to stay for people that are looking forward to see more from the rural side of Gran Canaria. We enjoyed the stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the daily room service was very good! The hotel staff, if we had the chance to meet them, was very friendly and nice. The pool area is very nice and clean. The breakfast was indeed very good, also having some warm egg-variation, veggies and e.g. bacon. Sitting outside during breakfast and enjoing the first rays of the sun, was a perfect day-starter. We had a rental car and do recommend to have one, e.g. to get out for dinner or to your holiday spots around the island. There is also a restaurant directly attachted to the hotel, which offers decent food for good prices, however we were suprised how empty it was on the two evenings we went there.
