Unfortunately, there was no window in a room, that’s why it was a bit stuffy and really dark during the day.

There wasn't a night when we were not woken up by something. Some guy was screaming (or singing operas?) at night, another time there was a lady talking loudly on the phone (or at least I think so) exclaiming "aaaay aaaaaaay". Or perhaps there is a nuthouse nearby. You have to be careful as some things like towels are charged extra.

Comfortable beds, nice toilet and the drain pipes near the window because I like the calming sound of waterfall everytime someone flushes the toilet.

Internet Connection really bad. Also the shower was small. If you are higher than 1.80 m, is a bit difficult.

The extra administrative stuff like getting cash for tourist tax and deposit of 200 Euros, and the poor sound insulation. We had no problems with noise however. Not everyone might like the relatively hard beds either but they were fine for us.

A lovely place to stay in the heart of Barcelona. The room was very clean and we had it cleaned everyday. The bathroom was the perfect size. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were excellent!

I booked the stay and thought I caught the black Friday deal, as all other rooms were more expensive, but even with the deal, the place didn't match my expectations for the value I paid. The room is very tight, and the private bathroom is across the hallway. The walls are very thin. You can hear all about everything that is going on in other rooms and the hallway. The bathroom is so tiny, and the taller person can not sit on the toilet properly.

The staff was the most pleasant people I have met. They are chatty, helpful, and very kind. The cleanliness was not exquisite, but it was good. Breakfast is simple, but it is what you expect and need to start the day. The location is good, there is an elevator, and the metro is just a couple of meters away from the building. Clean bedsheets and towels are provided, and the bed is comfy enough. There is a refrigerator in the room, and a balcony with the view on the street, even though it is so small you can't sit outside.

We got the booking for a very low price as we got it on a "black friday sale". However, i'm not sure i would had paid the full price. The bathroom being separate from the room was a bit of a pain as it is quite far from the room. Furthermore, the handle to our door broke and they couldn't fix it so we had to constantly use our key to get in and out of the room while we had some tape instead of a handle. You can hear everything that is going on in the hallway which can be a lot due to people leaving their room to go to the bathroom. The bed was squeaky and not the most comfortable. The staff does not speak much English.

The staff was excellent! The location is also very good, with the metro station being very close and many small shops and restaurants in the area. When we had to leave early in the morning the staff had no problem leaving us some breakfast to grab with us instead of eating it there. It gad everything you needed, towels, a hair dryer, an iron, clean kitchen, drinkable water at all times(the tap water is also drinkable but tastes bad in Barcelona) and easy contact with the staff. The place felt safe and they had cameras all around. Our room had a small but cute balcony. The breakfast food was of good quality and tasted nice.

They didn't offer two keys although we were two people and had different schedules so it was a hassle to coordinate our activities. The room fits three people, so I don't know, I guess another set of keys is necessary. The bathroom was private but external, this was not an issue for the most part, but at times, you only needed to wash your hands, you had to grab the keys and go to the bathroom, a nuisance. Also, the hotel warns a lot about stuff that you take for granted. I understand that they are trying to push for good behaviour, but there are different approaches to adopt besides having guests live in fear of a stain here or there.

Very good location. The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was simple but good. Its a good spot if you just want a place close to many sites and is in a vibrant yet calm part of town.

The toilets( bathroom) were very very little, the shower was bad built and the water came out of the toilet. We found 3 baby cockroaches in the toilet...

The location is fabulous. The room was very clean. There's a fridge inside the room and the kitchen was also clean and it was a pleasant space. The girls in the coffee( breakfast) were lovely and very nice and the breakfast was amazing.

It is not clear why they take a deposit. We was in much more comfortable hotels and apartments, and never give a deposit. In the conditions it is written that air conditioning is paid separately - 10 euros per day. We are not used it, but a fact separate fee for air conditioning it is not normal, I think.

There was a bit of confusion about what was considered an out of hours arrival time. Email said after 9pm would need special arrangement to check-in, but actually the cafe/office closes at 7pm! So we had to rush there to check-in and get keys after they called us.

Great location and comfortable room. Delicious coffee and breakfast. Very helpful staff. It is great that they care about the environment and run the hostal in an environmentally-friendly way. It is a bonus that there is a shared kitchen and beautiful terrace.
