Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandHard to find anything wrong but the bed was a bit too hard for me but I have neck and back problems so I am unique here probably.
This place is so clean, everywhere. The shared bathroom we had was no issue as it was so clean every time. The location is fantastic, great community area and close to everything we needed.

ItalyThe fact that we cannot take the key with us. Sometimes we just wanted to go shopping or we needed to leave the room late/come back late and we would need to ring the doorbell to get the key with staff and this wasn't very pleasant.
location is really good - we arrived on Sunday and the square was full of people having tapas so was the best atmosphere to arrive. the place was also clean and the staff was welcoming.

United StatesAs you can tell - nothing!!!!!
Cheery, immaculately clean, lovely family running the place, great bed, cleaning and fresh towels every day. I was traveling g solo, chose a room with shared bathroom, could always find a bathroom to use on my floor or another floor. My little room had a convenient sink. I chose a room facing out to the plaza, my superpower is sleeping so the sounds did not bother me but something to think about if you sleep light. Other rooms faced into the courtyard. Such a great location!!!!!!! The Macarena neighborhood was vibrant and active, looked like a majority of locals having a great time! The plaza is part of the elementary school during the day and home to a half dozen bars/restaurants by late afternoon. Very safe, very fun. Grocery stores, fruit stands, little bodegas, and a drop dead fabulous flamenco spot (do not miss this!!!) all within a couple blocks.

FranceLocation is a bit fair from touristic sites, but buses and electric scooters can be found nearby.
The beds were comfy and it was quiet at night. There is a little sink in the room and even though the place was full when we were staying it seemed that we were the only people using our shared bathroom. The staff were helpful especially since we don't speak spanish.

United KingdomValue for money. We stayed during Semana Santa, so we expected to pay a premium, but it was relatively high compared to the services offered.
The staff was extremely nice and always available to help. Walking distance to the city centre.

GreeceWe liked everything. The rooms are a bit small but we didn't have a problem with that.
The hotel is very cosy and well located, in a very authentic part of the Old City of Seville, close the church of Mary Macarena. The owner was very polite and gave us very useful information about the city. The rooms were very clean. The building is traditional and beautifully colourful.A very good choice!

GuernseyOur room did smell slightly of cleaning products so that we decided to sleep with our window open. It opened onto the internal courtyard so it was a little noisy - if this bothers you it might not be ideal. We were also there in winter meaning it was a little chilly, so if staying in the colder months I'd def recommend bringing warm pyjamas.
Great cheap and cheerful little no-frills hotel. Typical Andalusian layout with an internal courtyard - lovely and pretty. Room had it's own sink which was very handy. Everything seemed clean and the beds were comfy (we were given twin beds). Fantastic location, off a great little plaza with local bars lining it. Really good-looking spot in the heart of the old part of town inside the northern old city walls. We highly recommend a supper or lunch at Bar "Puma" literally around the corner - fantastic tapas - genuinely the best I've had in Seville, and I lived there for 6 months. Especially recommend their potato and prawn salad; best in the city in my experience. Ask them for recs for other dishes ;) And their (clearly homemade) house vermouth was extremely good. All at southern Spanish prices ;)

JordanThe family own the place is super nice and lovely! They don’t speak English but it was easy to communicate, they will help you with your needs. The location is super amazing surrounded by bars, restaurants and supermarkets, few minutes walking to the city centre, the cathedral and Alcázar. The room itself was nice ( small but nice ) fair enough for two people. The bathroom is shared but good and clean. Every time you want to leave or come in someone has to open the door for you, but they are always available so it’s not a problem.
