Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe room was really small, doors from bathroom was very funny :) Only one electric outlet. Bed moved with every movement.

United StatesOur room only had 1 window into the enclosed atrium. It felt small and cramped. They charged $5EU for the remote to operate the A/C, but couldn't provide change for our larger bill, and were not available the evening we arrived.
The location was great, very close to family we were visiting. Convenient walking throughout Seville. Nice coffee shop & restaurants nearby. Bathroom was small but nicely remodeled.

AustriaEverything looks a little used and dirty, but it's acceptable given the price. Also, there is a lot of humidity in the rooms
Good location, very friendly staff and our room was very quiet. There were extra blankets, so even though the rooms got a little chilly, we were warm during the night.

PortugalThe toilet paper was weirdly dirty on top and the bathroom had sewage smell, so we had to close the door. Had some trouble with people making noises outside, but besides that, really good.
Really nice accommodation, staff was also really friendly and had a great location. 20-30min walk from good places to visit

ItalyDisclaimer: I’m not sure if ALL the rooms are like this, they might be different than the one we had. We had a double room with a private bathroom and the bathroom’s door is absolutely unviable. It has a sliding panel that “closes” but it actually doesn’t close at all, the sliding door doesn’t fit the frame of the door so it leaves it open and the person outside the bathroom can actually see inside the bathroom, literally. Please consider this if you’re traveling with someone you’re not entirely comfortable seeing you while you take a shower or do anything else in the bathroom cause the door literally doesn’t close.
Property is quite central which makes it perfect to reach the main touristic points of the city.

LithuaniaOld style rooms. Doors with visible cracks (you can hear absolutely everything from outside). AC extra charge. Without AC it is boiling hot and impossible to sleep. Workers were a bit rude. Parking space sooo tiny and when you park you can not get to your car until checkout...
Good location. Quite spacious room.

Poland- I agrred to leave my luggage there after the check out. I left around 8:30 in the morning when there was nobody (they first open the reception at 15:00) and sent a message to them on whatsapp where they contacted me a day before on my arrival. As they didn’t respond and I got worried about my things I kept calling them and the first time they picked up it was around 13:30 and the person I talked to, spoke no English. I got an answer in English at 15:00 when the recpetion opened and came to pick up my luggage. This means that if I wanted to pick up my luggage before 15:00, I would not be able to do that and nobody informed me about it a day before when I agreed to leave it. - AC is paid extra (mind the fact that my room was hot and located on the second floor)

AustraliaNo wifi in room so had to go outside near the centre of the pension. noisy at times as people would stand in a corridor outside of our window on their phones talking etc, presumably to access wifi. Did not feel private as it was hard to have a window open. Otherwise no problems and pleasant stay

SpainThe beds are uncomfortable for a tall dutch man. You can feel the spirals in the mattress. The the bathrooms is very small. For 350euros, no breakfast I found it a bit overpriced for what you get.
I booked this room for my dad who was staying in Sevilla for 4 nights. The location of Pension Azahar is great. 10 minute walk from the Cathedral of parque Maria luisa. It is situated in the centre but in quiet street so know problems with noice or traffic. Friendly staff and everything was very clean.

FranceReception only available between 15.00 and 22.00. Very weak WiFi. Despite all kinds of silly excuses about "too many tourists in Sevilla tonight using network" I never got a signal in the room in three days. You have to be lucky with your room. All are pretty basic but some are much more attractive than others. A few give on to bright tiled patios, others are cramped, dark and dreary. The rooms at the front face a street with a loud bar with outdoor seating (no, not everybody "goes to Cádiz for the weekend" and, no, the bar doesn't "close at 23.00" - more excuses). Finally, although the reception and cleaning ladies were friendly and cheerful, whoever does the correspondence might try a little more PR. As for every reservation in the last 20 years with Booking.com I presumed that my confirmation and card number with Booking.com reserved the room until card signature on arrival. I speak Spanish and received an aggressively worded mail accusing me of not having sent the money to pay for the booking in advance. This was two days before arrival. Should I have misunderstood, and this was indeed an unusual request for a Booking.com site, then perhaps a polite reminder with an IBAN number might have given me a better impression of the establishment.
Attractive terrace area with comfortable seating. Traditional entrance patio.(see main hotel photo). Area is in easy walking distance to centre but less touristy than places nearer to Cathedral.
