Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWould be a challenging location if you have mobility issues. However we learnt that you can get the C35 bus just outside. This takes you in and out of the city centre until 10pm.
Beautiful view over city. Room was clean. Staff very friendly.

AustraliaWe ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and found it a little expensive as the meal came with little or no sides (they were extra) which is something we hadn’t found elsewhere.
Magnificent views from our private terrace over Granada. A ten minute walk to the Alhambra. Roadside parking available.

CanadaVery limited dinner menu and a bit pricey for what you got. It is a climb to get back to from the city but cabs are cheap and a bus runs in front of the hotel.
Fantastic view of the city. Nice location away from the crowds. Very nice breakfast included - modified continental. Very friendly staff.

This is a classic boutique hotel - why it is on some sites only one star is a joke.It is located out of town fairly near the Alhambra -very very hilly to get to anywhere from the hotel but bus service C35 stops outside the hotel and is a circular route so you will always end up back at your residence. The staff were great very helpful and courteous.Breakfast was fine and very continental. The art work on the walls was superb. Our room was superb as we booked a junior suite [room 302] it was spacious with 2 sun trap balconies and great views over the city-the only problem was the weather which not very nice at all.

South AfricaNot the fault of the hotel but the area is hilly and roads are narrow, so parking is a problem if you are in your own / rental car.
The street view, area and entrance to the hotel did not prepare us for the wonderful view from the view point and the room! The balcony was huge and had comfortable seating for a sundowner. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was generous and tasty!

SwitzerlandRoom is a bit small, nothing that can ruine your stay, also the bed is on the small size for 2 people and it lacks the possibility to charge some electronic stuff near the bed.
The facility is located higher than the city, so you can enjoy a fantastic view from the bar/restaurant. Room was a bit small, but I think it is a bit a standard because of the location. Breakfast formidable, fresh fruits, a nice selection and really nice staff.

United KingdomNo complaints. Whilst it is a little way from the centre, the taxi service is excellent and only around 6 or 7 Euro in to the centre of town or the Alhambra.
The property was very clean and whilst compact the bedroom was very good. The beds were very comfortable. The hostess was very friendly and looked after us very well. She couldn’t have done more. Thank you.

United StatesThe accordion door in the shower was quite tricky to close as it was slightly off its track, and the shower gel did not work, and there was not shampoo or other amenities. That hotels have a slightly higher price point would have.
Perched overlooking Granada, both the room, and the gorgeous dining patio, which is enclosed. The staff was wonderful. Everything was very clean. Great value for the price. As it was raining all day, we ended up eating a lovely dinner with the charming city below us, and the breakfast was quite substantial and yummy . Lovely paintings throughout the hotel, and overall good vibes. We walked down to the center and walked with a guide for a tour of the Alhambra and walked from the Alhambra home, but there are plenty of taxis . We left our car parked in front of the hotel, and the woman who checked us in nicely, moved her car to accommodate ours.
