Nice, clean and very well located hotel. Short walk to the Las Canteras beach where you can find a lot of shops and great restaurants. Very helpful staff, had a last minute change to the booking and they were understanding. Great breakfast! And a very nice view from the terrace.

Bathroom was ok but just a couple of bits where I thought it could have been cleaned a little better.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Location perfect for cruise port, roof terrace was great to relax on.

Only thing we could say is it would have been helpful if the staff had been willing to give us a bit of advice/guidance on local trips etc. When we asked they didn't seem willing and offered us a local map.

Great hotel to stay in Las Palmas, very close to Playa de Las Canteras. Room was big, clean and had a nice view overlooking the sea with a nice and clean bathroom. Option of parking in a private parking garage for 9€ per day for hotel guests. The garage is a short 5 minute walk away from the hotel and it is very safe. Fast WiFi. Supermarket almost in front of the hotel, a 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall a great hotel for a great price. The staff at the reception were super nice, especially the guy from Croatia (was always there to help and give advice).

The road is next to the hotel so sometimes a bit noisy but it didn't bother us.

The location is great, not even 10 mins walk to the Las Canteras beach and many restaurants are also close. The staff is extremely friendly, reception is 24hrs open. The rooftop bar was not open yet in April but we were allowed to go up and take our own drinks. The weather was amazing. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel. The breakfast is great, lots of options to choose from, I really recommend this accommodation.

The parking situation is not the best, but certainly not the worst.

Loved the location and the view. Everything we needed was easy to reach. Even though there was no parking directly at the hotel, they offered the nearby parking house for a reasonable price. Amicable and caring staff, solid breakfast, clean and cozy rooms made our stay at this hotel awesome.

The room was a little small. There were no shelve panels to put stuff. More hangers are needed. Little far from place to meeting area for tour, airport shuttles, and more. A night staff wasn't helpful. The air-conditioning machine made a loud sound.

Great location, good quality hotel, excellent staff. Dog friendly.. Fab park opposite with great cafe for sitting in the sun and watching the world go by. Nearby secure underground parking. Also only 10 mins walk to Los Cantaras beach area with lots of lovely places to eat & drink.

I can't think of anything.

Our second stay here, and we would not choose anywhere else in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: we really like the La Isleta area which has nice, small town feel on the edge of the very busy city. Short walk to the small bars and small cafes around the beach and the market, and with a laid-back 'local' feel. The hotel Matilde is ideal for us. The rooms are super-clean, and all staff extremely helpful. Last time we had a room with balcony, this time we decided not to because there is the wonderful terrace on the roof anyway. The sea view is a view over twoards the ferry terminal (beyond the quiet park) - we like the view across to the ships and boats.

The staff made my stay very welcomed and they were so helpful. Bed was really comfortable with a private balcony and great view of the city. Really tasty and fresh breakfast.

Like everywhere in Las Palmas, the parking is complicated. Nothing to do with the hotel though.
