At nights sometimes you can hear noise from the square and that is alright by me but one evening we were sitting on the roof top, a group of people and the guard thought it was us who were causing the noise and it was a bit uncomfortable feeling...

The roof top is very nice both for work and for having fun. It has a good view over the square and nice round tables where groups can sit and have a chat or work together. The toilets are also very nice (Japanese style). When someone told me about it at first I thought they were probably confusing with the other Catalina hotel that is 5 stars but it was a pleasant surprise that it was actually this one that had those toilets.

Immediate first impressions, very welcoming friendly staff. I had a lovely corner room providing space and silence. Bed majorly comfortable. Walk in shower had different options and a Japanese style WC TOP MARKS. Very pleasant roof terrace with a jacuzzi. Personally it’s more than a 3 * hotel. All good stuff. Great location and two minute walk to the beach. Near the main bus station with connections all over the island and the AirPort Express bus service a mere four minutes away.

There was absolutely nothing I can think of.

An excellent hotel in a fantastic location. We were heading off on a cruise the next morning and the Catalina is superbly placed with a taxi rank opposite, but we just walked as it wasn’t even 800m away. Great for a stroll along Playa Canteras just 2 minutes away with its lovely promenade and many restaurants. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable - loved the automatic curtains - with a well equipped shower room. Beautiful roof terrace and bar on the top floor where we had a very nice Al fresco breakfast too. Steffanie at reception is wonderful - very helpful, friendly and accommodating by looking after our bags after check out. Will definitely stay again.

One small negative was the noise level from the street. But we knew this was to be expected due to the central location.

Very clean and modern. Perfect location for walking everywhere - close to the beach, a multitude of restaurants, bus lines, and to big attractions like Poema del Mar aquarium. Great and helpful staff - accommodating. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

We had to leave early in the morning, the breakfast should be served from 7 am but it wasn't ready at 7, but beside that it was Ok.

I had breakfast one day the buffet style food was ok. The bakery stuff was decent and the omlette that was prepared by the chefs was great however due to lack of people getting breakfast too me isn't worth the 10 Euros rather have a menu of choice to then pay 10 Euros.

The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooftop bar was the best place to hang out and work from in the evenings. The location is 4mins away from the beach and close to all the restaurants and bars. There is a taxi rank close to the hotel too if you want to travel the city by taxi. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard and had a japanese toilet which was a life changer. We had a fridge in our room to store bottles of water and kept them very cold. Will definitely consider this hotel again if I were to ever return to Las Palmas.

Hotel is amazing in all senses: - location is top! 5 mins to the beach and plenty of good places to eat around - room is exceptional: everything is new and clean. Bathroom is a masterpiece of technology - stuff is super friendly and happy to help with advice or any requests - barmen are great. We asked for opening the bottle of wine for us and ice bucket - all was done in very friendly manner - breakfasts are good, I fell in love with croissants - jakuzzi on the terrace helped to relax every evening - cleaning - very fast and very thorough This is honestly the best hotel I ever stayed in! I can understand the rating it has and super happy I was able to convince my friend to stay there and not another one

The gym was maybe not as well equipped as expected (but that's a good excuse to relax more).

Everything was great, we were really surprised! The hotel is newly renovated, the employees are really friendly and the food served for breakfast but also in their restaurant is amazing!

Fantastic location, steps away from buses, cafes and restaurants and 5 mins walk from Canteras Beach. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and the personnel is helpful and smiling.

The terrance was relaxing and beautiful, I had to work with my laptop and there was a perfect wifi connection. I was there for the Carnival and it was a perfect location, far from the night noise but at a close walking distance from the beach and all the night Carnival events.

Indoor restaurant seating area was too small for the number of guests eating breakfast, leaving some eating at the tables outside in the wind. Bedroom on the small side with not much space around the bed.

Breakfast was of good quality and plentiful. Bedroom was quiet and clean. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Location was good, close to the bus station, the centre, and the beach.

Lots of noise from the street and windows don't cut of the noise normally, so the ear plugs is a must! And the TV still shows some russian channels which is a HUGE minus. No more kacaps arrive to EU and nobody wants to watch their TV channels.

The only remarks I would like to make are 2: the first one is the absence of a refrigerator in the rooms, the second was the inability of some staff to provide useful infos about restaurants and Touristic Info Points. Apart from these points we had a very comfortable stay at the hotel.

We spent 8 nights at the Hotel Catalina Plaza Sostenibile in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria. The Hotel facilities are excellent; the structure is new and well maintained; the position, in the proximity of the main bus stations and the Playa De Las Canteras, makes easy to reach any point within the city and to move to other location in the island. Overall we had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. A special and huge thanks to Miss Stephanie whose “problem solving” capability helped us a lot during our holiday.
