Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThin walls so you can hear the closest rooms and door slamming, but ear plugs is included :)
Super nice location, clean rooms (but small). A quite and nice inner yard. No traffic outside the windows! Our second stay at this hotel and we enjoy it very much. Did not have the breakfast bag, it is plenty of cafés in the neighborhood.

AustraliaThe bathrooms are needing TLC. No u-bends in the sinks mean bathroom odours linger. The 'included breakfast' was not a buffet but a pack, which could be enjoyed in the room or lobby dining area. Very basic but well curated and nourishing. 1 fresh pastry(we were charged for an extra one which felt a bit stingy), or GF porridge option, with yoghurt+granola, a piece of fruit and bottomless filter coffee.
The hip lobby/lounge and wine hour from 5-6. The honouring of the original deco features while integrating updated modern hotel inclusions.

FinlandBreakfast is served out of a paper bag even if you have it in the lobby/restaurant area, everything is single use, including cutlery and for an extra charge
Great location, friendly staff, nice decor, and the daily wine happy hour a nice plus! The smaller rooms are small but enough space for one person. Nice to have the option of early check-in and and late check-out (for additional fee).

United KingdomWhilst it wasn't a major hassle, the hotel has no reception as such, just the bar, where staff are on hand. After 9pm there is no-one on site, only an out of hours telephone number to call! If you plan to arrive after this time, the hotel will email you instructions of how to access your key. We did have a 2am wake up, from a guest banging on a room door for 10 minutes, as she had forgotten her key, which could have been avoided if staff had been available! For this reason alone the Savoy gets 8/10 instead of full marks from me.
The room (a standard double) was bigger than expected, was comfortable & clean. The bed was super comfy & the decor was finished to a good standard. The major plus however, was the location, very near to Tivoli & Cental Station, & a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area. Wine hour between 5/6pm is also recommended!!

GermanyWe had an unfortunate event when one of the other guests created a ruckus in the middle of the night, shouting and banging on their door and waking up the entire floor. Since the reception is not open 24x7, it was a scary situation where we were not sure how to get help (other than calling the police).
Lovely hotel with clean and bright rooms, very friendly staff.

United KingdomThe double bed was just two single beds together also with single duvets on, however we didn't ask if this could have been changed. Our room was a little small but value for money and we were not there to sit in the room all day.
Hotel was easy to get to, the staff explained everything and were very helpful. Loved the breakfast options, and especially the glass of wine in the evening, a great idea! Would like to haven been there at the weekend for Earth Hour at the hotel. Hotel looks fresh and very modern, great location too!

BelgiumThe morning cleaning was a bit noisy, doors slamming etc. It was a bit weird with 3 exits, sometimes I tried 2 different doors to leave the building.
It's a nice little place on the avenue, it's pretty well located, close to the train station and buses. The room was cosy and tidy with adjustable heating, so you could choose the temperature needed. It was easy to connect your own content to the TV, big plus! The staff was super nice and helpful. I had breakfast one morning, it was alright.
