We stayed in room 1 which didn’t have the option to open a window/door to let air in. There wasn’t any air con either and as a result it was absolutely boiling!

The room was small but comfortable. The bed had a mattress topper that was nice and soft but kept slipping off to the side! The staff were amazing, all of them. So friendly and so helpful. We only stayed one night in transit, and didn't have the breakfast.

The only thing I don't like about this hotel is the location of the elevator. No matter which floor you are on, you have to walk up or down a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. This can be a little difficult if you have any mobility problems.

Hotel Ansgar has a wonderful breakfast buffet, and when the weather is good, you can sit outside in an enclosed courtyard. The location is great for taking public transportation; it is right around the corner from an entrance to the Metro and from the main railroad station in Copenhagen, and there are lots of buses nearby.

The mattresses on the bed are thinner ones and they might move around. The rooms on the fifth level have a slanted ceiling, so make sure you request another floor if you don't feel comfortable with those. Preferably before you get there.

They have lockers where you can store your luggage, a great location and it's clean. Friendly staff.

Room was a bit small. Shampoo would have been good to include. Street room was a little noisy on Saturday with people and a band playing in the meat market area. If it was in the heat of summer the room would be warm, there used to be a small desk fan.

Only a minor point - my single room was a little smaller than I would have hoped. However, I guess that in most hotels they only have double or twin rooms so I don't think I had realised that this hotel does actually have single rooms as well! Looking again now, I see that the photos on Booking.com photos are good and I would still have booked a single room as it was sufficient for my needs.

Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast choices were many and, looking back now, I can say that the photos on the Booking.com site are no exaggeration of the choices. The hotel is very handy for the main station and the Metro (just 60m from the street exit in Halmtorvet / Stampesgade to the hotel). I was pleased with my choice of hotel. I was a bit nervous about booking a hotel in the centre and near the railway station in case it was noisy. It was surprisingly quite so I needn't have worried. (There was some late night street cleansing but closing the window kept its noise out).

I did give some feedback on checkout but there was no hand-wash there was only hair and body wash and it didn't clean my hands very well. Lastly I forgot to mention, when I would plug the kettle in, the switch on the kettle itself wouldn't remain on by itself so I had to hold it down so it would boil. Unless I wasn't doing something right

This hotel is ideal for the on-the-go traveler who prioritizes location and convenience over space. The room is tiny but they're cozy and just right for those who spend most of their time exploring the city anyway.

Its location is unbeatable - just a stone's throw away from the station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. There's also a whole bunch of restaurants and shops nearby. Plus, they keep the rooms spick and span every single day, which is just awesome.
