Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkOne thing that I found slightly uncomfortable is poor sound isolation. I guess it’s because the building is old. So if you laugh, cough, fart or snore in the room, it might be heard.
Kragsbjerggaard‘s best feauture is its big and cosy yard, very safe, very hygge. My son spent a lot of time in that yard playing football and giant chess. So it’s not just about the room you rent, it’s also about a charming place outside where you can sit and relax. We noticed that the beds were really cosy, too. The sleep was so sound.

HungaryI've got an email 2 days before arriving, I need to bring my own sheets or I can rent for 95 DKK. That was on the facilities page, (I checked it after) but I never ever meet that kind of hostel, where I have to bring my own sheets. I choose this hostel because it has a good price, but with an extra money for sheets, not worth it. In Cph that was a same price for 3 of us with everything next to the train station.. So it is a quiet expensive. The other thing the smell inside the bathroom. The floor is just a vinyl floor and the water went under and smells like mouldy. The bathroom has no showergel, but has (at least) handsoap so we could wash ourself with soup. The shower has rain shower and if you dont know how is working, your hair gets wet immediately, but there is no hairdryer so..... Instead of rain shower put the showergel on the wall and put handtowel in the bathroom. Because we asked a sheets (we came just a handbag) and they just put a normal towel. No handtowel, or anyhing else we could step on after showering. Need some upgrade for this price.
We liked the parking spaces. There were a lot. The room was quiet good, we had own shower, but the smell was awful inside. The beds were ok, not the best, but this is a hostel so it was ok.

BelgiumThe room was a bit warm, we had the luck to get good weather in September and were right below the roof. So no airco and opening the window sets you up for a lot of itchy red bumps from mosquitoes.
The hotel is located a bit outside of the city center (around 2km). The room itself is quite small, but that was expected given the price we paid. The hostel has a nice courtyard where you can relax and a small forest behind it to walk in. The kitchen and dining area were clean and spacious. There is also a game area where you can play table tennis. Don't forget your bed linen, it's quite expensive to rent.

United KingdomA bit far from the town, but it's acceptable
We booked 4 beds, they gave us 8 people's dorm. So we got a big space and enjoyed everything there. The facilities, kitchen, shower room and toilet are very good and very clean. It's 25-30 mins walk or 15 mins by bus from the down town, but once you arrive the hostel, you can rent a bike there, so it's not a problem to get to the town. Biking to the town is just 10mins!

DenmarkWe have stayed in a good number of hostels over the last few years – we are a family of 5 and fit better in a hostel room! And this is the first time that we have not had linen included – seems very old style hostel! Would be great if they started including this in the price and making beds – we came for a long weekend away to get away from the chores and the first thing I had to do was to make 5 beds! An extra 400kr (for 5) seemed expensive too for just 2 nights. There were a few dodgy stains on the sheets too, which was not great. he walls are paper thin so when the kid in the room next door was up and running and screeching at 6 all our kids were woken too, so the amount of sleep you get depends entirely on your neighbours! Finally, the surroundings are wonderful but it is not easy access to the town centre – we were aware that we were going to be in the suburbs but were not aware that public transport options were quite limited. 3 ish km to the zoo or station is no problem for an adult or small kids in pushchairs, but our 6 year old struggled a bit to keep up with the pace! – luckily there are plenty of parks dotted everywhere!!
This is a beautiful place, Staff are lovely and welcoming and were sweet about an accidentally smashed soap dispenser. Kids loved the games room, there is plenty of space everywhere for them to play and a giant chess board. The shower was nice and powerful and there were comfortable mattresses so we got a great night's sleep the first night. Breakfast was great and the breakfast room was spacious and nice to be in. We cooked for ourselves 1 night and the kitchen was well equipped and clean.
