There is a very very noisy bar across the hotel and every night we had so much noise that even closing the windows didn't decrease it, not even being able to sleep without earplugs

Couldn’t reach the shower in the tub. No shower mat to prevent falling and no hand holds for safety. No one to help with luggage.

Room felt cramped and was so hot! Even with a fan, sleeping felt uncomfortable. Windows only opened a tiny bit, or I had to fully open them and the wind slammed them shut. Would be great to update the windows and/or better ventilate the place. Furniture also felt very old and outdated.

Rooms do not have sufficient or accessible plugs for computer or phones. Lobby should have free access to water when you come from the day.

Excellent location. The initial room wasn't good, very tiny, bathroom basin was clogged, no air conditioning. However the reception staff was super helpful, he help us changed the room and fix all the issues. New room is the luxury apartment next door, with good size and very clean.

We had the ground floor room, to have less stairs but still there were some. No view as it is lower than ground level

There's a music venue right across the street, you will hear it from opening til close. There's only 1 small main elevator, which was out of service on my check out day...

The coffee and tea in the room is charged extra (didn’t realize until after using the coffee machine). For a rather expensive hotel I really wasn’t expecting this. Luckily on checkout the staff member waived this with no fuss. In addition, we were given key cards for the luggage room but in fact it was not secure and you could just walk in. On raising this to the staff member he politely said he would look into it but it seemed clear this was not a fault but by design for the hotel team. I was not impressed by the lack of care here in security. There was a music event / gig opposite on the road and the music was very very loud. The windows blocked the sound quite well but not fully.

The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast, on the one day we ate at the hotel, offered everything you could wish for, including superb coffee. The location is excellent for walking to most main sites of interest in the city. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars within 15 minutes' walk of the hotel. It's also a few minutes' walk from the main station.

Internet intermittent due to room location. Had to ask for milk and coffee at reception. If you choose not to have your room made up you get no tea or coffee refill in room.

Great history about property. Beautiful inside . All the features of it's history still there. Choosing to be eco friendly easy.
