The hotel has a very nice spa area and my wife took the opportunity to have some spa treatments during our stay. We had a room in the older part of the hotel which had an extra bed located adjacent to the main bedroom area as well as a balcony. We had an evening meal in the restaurant on the occasion of my wife's birthday and the staff dressed the table to mark the event.

Well, the issue with the squeaky door should have been fixed by the time we returned in the evening.. Maybe a staff re-training will help.

Super friendly staff and staff on average. We only had an issue with a squeaky door and asked the blonde morning receptionist to get smb to fix it. When we came back in the evening, the problem remained unresolved. When I called reception, I was lucky to have super-helpful receptionist Enrico who not only organised oil for the door, but also came to fix it. Thank you! Other than that (minor) issue with the door, we enjoyed our stay there and certainly the beautiful areas around. The Sylvaner Weinsauerkraut from the restaurant is highly recommended!

Breakfast was very modest. We stayed 2 nights and it was sufficient, but for longer stay might not be the most exciting part.

Noisy belo, our windows till 10pm due to moving materials of hotel to/from storage rooms. It started again before 8am next day. Having breakfast at 9am, a number of food choices wereld not available anymore and not refilled.

Sauna was closed. A little of the beaten path.

Found out after booking that the sauna was to be closed. But had no time for a new place search. It would have been nice after a long ride. Pool is OK, a little cold and small, only 5 loungers available. I brought changing clothes for after the swim, but there were no changing rooms. Other guests told me you can pick up a bathrobe at the reception. Towels are at the pool. Too late for me, I went back to the room in street shoes and towel... Slept well, nice view and balcony. Probably really nice here in the fall. Parking was ample, wifi worked, breakfast was good. All in all would stay here again.

Shower was not working, poor attention to detail. Although I joined rewards club, they refused to credit my current stay as it was not booked direct. Not a nice welcome! Probably will now never use it.

all rooms in the hotel are composed of 2 beds joined by a sheet and not a double bed as written on booking..the room where I was accommodated 324 has the bed of 2 mattresses joined..one mattress was straight the other being with a hole .. some rooms smelled of the 19th century

2 double beds pushed together and single duvets each for my wife and I. Classical music started playing in the hallway very early on Sunday morning.
