How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The couch in the room was a bit on the hard side.
The service was personable and helpful, the team working together to help me fix a technological issue I was having. I also really enjoyed the breakfast.

My room was close to the service facility. I was woken up early in the morning by some noise. The weather was bad but unfortunately, the owner could hardly control it. ))
Good location. Comfortable and clean room with everything you need except kitchen. Excellent breakfast - everything is delicious.

the staff were all quite unpleasant in the hotel, we felt like we were a nuisance, whether when checking in, asking a question about the hotel or even asking to pick up our bags, we certainly didn't feel welcomed. Additionally, for this brand and price I'd expect professionalism and good conversational English. I would not come back here.
the location is rather central. The hotel is clean and as expected you can leave your luggage before and after checkin. The bed was comfortable

There is no mini fridge in the room making it difficult to have your own food and drinks at hand if you don't wish to pay for the 17€/day for breakfast. Also the hairdryer didn't work, the kettle was dirty inside and the spoons/cups looked dusty like they weren't being regularly replaced.
Very good and reliable hotel with friendly staff. Great location, it's easy to walk to the city center and to most sights from there. Severinstrasse is 3-4 minutes away and you can commute straight to the dom and central station from there. The rooms are quiet, the view is great, the room was relatively clean. The bathroom and shower looked new and clean, well kept up.

Area in direct vicinity of hotel was a little sketchy.
Very good buffet breakfast. 25 minute walk to the incredible sites & shopping areas of Cologne, including the Cathedral & the Rhine River.

The check in process was a bit long. We were stood there for about half an hour trying to check in. I think they need to either get more staff or streamline the process so we’re not waiting as long.
It was a very convenient location. Only a few minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. It was also very clean and the rooms were nice and spacious.

The parking was a bit limited, but luckily we managed to find a spot. For our travel companions everything was full when they arrived and it was incredibly busy at the reception, so it would have been nice to receive a list with other parking places beforehand.
The room was clean and fine for a city trip. Walking towards the city centre was just under 20 minutes, so that was quite alright.

Parking in the garage costs extra and the garage is extremely hard for getting in and out. Tiny space there. So if you are not a very experienced driver, this is a no go.
The room was comfortable, clean and silent with a good view. It was easy to reach the city centre with public transport.

Check-in time at 3pm is little bit late for me but they kept my luggage for me which solved the problem. Location was bit distant from the centre but taking the metro was easy.
I really liked the Neon light and the decorations of the room. Everything was super clean. I also really liked they offered additional pillow for choice of sturdy or soft pillow. Staff was quite helpful kept my luggage for free :DD View was awesome and I felt safe as a solo traveller.

We found someone else's hair and there was only 2 bags of sugar (for more than 5 bags of tea nd coffee :) ) + no space between window and bed, but that's not a big problem
Value for money, the view out of our window (we were lucky and got the view of centre of Koln and a little bit of Koln's church) +good and cheap kebab Cafe 5 minutes by walk from the hotel.

The Parking of the hotel says included 24h but you are expected to take your car upon check out regardless the time you arrived the day before. Also there is a tree and the pigeons will “bless” your car for good
