Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PolandI discovered that I made a mistake in my reservation, booking for a wrong night, as I arrived. I wish the hotel allowed me to use one of the non-reserved rooms on the night I needed to stay and liberate the one I reserved on the following night... Of course, all was initially my mistake but I wish the hotel management was more sympathetic.

NetherlandsThere is no actual lobby in the hotel to sit and relax, although you generally don't need it either. The chairs in the rooms are not the most comfortable. The rooms in general are a bit outdated, but equipped with all the necessities.
We booked several rooms and the apartment in the hotel to stay there with friends. The apartment is very spacious, and easily allows for all people (in our case 7 adults, 3 kids) to stay there during the day. The dinner table can be extended and enough chairs are available. The beds are comfortable and of good size. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, between the train station and the city center, with plenty of public transport options in the vicinity. The rooms have shutters, which make the rooms perfectly dark for a good night rest.

The location was great, the coffee coin was a nice treat. The sink in the room was very practical, and the ensuite bathroom was really convenient. Checking in was quick, simple and easy as well.

United KingdomThe reception does not work full time, so if you want to leave your suitcase after the checkout, it will likely not be an option. If you plan to spend more time in the centre, this is not the best located hotel.
The hotel is in a perfect spot between the railway and the city centre, so will work well for those travelling without a car. There is an option of self check-in, so it is easy to arrive at any time.
