How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There is no Dryers.
We stayed here to visit Miniatur Wunderland. It was only a 15 minute walk away, so it was great that even children could get there.

Air conditioning unit was very poor....room was hot and very high level of outside noise when window was opened for cool air. Shame there was only one small pillow per person.

Very basic but does the job for a city break/ few days stay. Otherwise no complaints.
Basic rooms enough for a couple days visit. Quite small, wasn’t a problem as there were only 2 of us but any more and it might be a bit squished. Location is perfect 10 min walk to city centre and central station where you can get trains to and from airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. No tea/coffee facilities in the room but there is coffee machine located in reception area.

Breakfast capacity is quite small, you have to get up early to avoid overbook Room is very simple, but it's a "budget" option, so one can guess that already

The hotel is nice and simple, very standard for Ibis - but you know what to expect. Everything was fine at the hotel, check-in was fast the room was clean and comfy. The location is also ok, easy to reach the train station by foot and also to walk around the port area.

The climate control was not working and we couldn’t keep the window open overnight (too much road noise). It was uncomfortably hot overnight in mid April.
Our two dogs were welcomed and the location can’t be beat. Close proximity/walking distance to main train station and other public transport. €18 for overnight parking is about standard for that area.

When window closed the sound insolation is perfect, but when opened it’s very loud because it’s by the very busy road and train passing by all the time. We couldn’t get A/C working and couldn’t get fresh air in the room so we slept with the noise and open window. We also didn’t require about the A/C we were just to tired to care 😊 no tee/coffee in the room / no kettle, but i got hot water for my thermo cup on the ground floor from the coffee machine it’s free.
The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the Hauptbahnhof. Rooms clean, exactly the way it looks in the images. The shower is literally in the room, only privacy you get is the shower door when opened 😆 for families shouldn’t be an issue. Window opens in the room for fresh air what I loved. Breakfast is a buffet, no hot food apart from hot boiled eggs, it’s typical german breakfast with fresh bread, cheese, cold meats like ham/salami as well as breakfast cereals and milk everything fresh and tasty. Friendly staff. Lockers on the ground floor, 2€. Fits 2-3 medium backpacks, plus clothes ( it is a good size locker)

Cleanliness could be more efficient. There wasn't even a trash bin in the toilet.
The breakfast was very diverse and satisfying. We would also like to big thank the lady on duty in the restaurant for her constant friendliness and helpfulness. She is always smile on her face, you can find her very easily!

The bed and pillow were uncomfortable but while we were staying, a whole load of new mattresses were being delivered so hopefully this will be improved for future visitors. At peak times, there could be a wait for the elevators as everyone was using them. There was occasionally a gaggle of smokers clustered outside the hotel entrance. No plug for the bathroom sink.
The room was remarkably quiet despite being near a major road and we heard nothing from neighbouring rooms. The room was warm and the wi-fi good. There was adequate space for our belongings. There was a room of large lockers for luggage storage by reception which was useful (non-returned 50 cent coin required) and two elevators which were essential for our 6th floor location. Removable shower head meant it was easier to wash hair without having a full shower. Plenty of hot water too. Also vending machines and coffee facilities in reception although we didn't use them. Hotel is only 10-15 minute walk from Hauptbahnhof so easy for travel.
