Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt was strange to not see any staff members of the hotel while I was there, neither at check in or check out. But I understand that some guests might prefer it that way. I was up late anyway so it didn’t matter to me, but there was plenty of noise from the next door beer garden til about 2 am. (It was a Saturday night though.)
Easy to access the elevator and enter your room via code. Good-sized bathroom, double bed and view of/proximity to nice beer garden.

RussiaInternet didn't work during my stay. The personnel have poor English.
The room was very big, king size bed + sofa. Good location just near the Dome. Friendly personnel.

United KingdomThe room was very small and very warm. No a/c or fan to cool it. It was across the road from a very busy bar/restaurant. Unfortunately, we were there on a Friday night when the restaurant had a very loud singer, who we could hear even with the windows closed. However, he did finish at ten. The bed was rather soft and the pillows were not very nice.
It was in the centre of town, so convenient. Parking was available for free. Breakfast was very good.

United KingdomThe rooms do not have any form of aircon, so when it's warm you're only option is to open the window. The issue you then have, is that the hotel overlooks a pub with a large outside garden that was VERY noisy until late. In addition, the hotel is right next to the main church, and the church bells ring on the hour, every hour, which isn't ideal with the windows open at 4am. My only complaint about the hotel was noise. The hotel either need to fit aircon (I appreciate that's an expensive option) or at the very least provide fans in the rooms. The room was very hot with no air circulation, so the only option was to open the window, and with the constant noise that wasn't ideal.
Hotel location was great, and the beds and bedding were very good and very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and the bathrooms for modern and clean.

CanadaThe bathroom shower drain was clogged which caused spillage onto the floor, and since your standing in the shower stall, you end up essentially standing in a pool of water which you have to assume is not very sanitary. The access to the room is through a back laneway and so this presents safety issues if you are alone at night. The room lacked some basic hotel amenities like a coffee maker or bar fridge. During the pandemic you are sometimes trying to minimize your outside contact and so having nowhere to heat a cup of water or store a beverage is inconvenient. Most of the staff we came in contact with did not take mask wearing seriously. Those working in the breakfast dining area were not wearing masks when we were there, nor was the cleaning staff. When we called to have the drain fixed, the cleaning person walked right into our room and bathroom with no mask and essentially bare handed there way through the bathroom. They were not able to fix the drain issue and told us it would be at least a couple of days. So unsanitary in more than one way. This did not make us feel safe. When we arrived to check in there was no one available and so we had to make a phone call to the manager offsite to get someone to attend to us. We booked a certain class of room and were told it was unavailable when we arrived, so we got a lower end room instead. As someone with an accessibility issue, this meant having to walk to another building and use a staircase in the absence of an elevator. They do not allow the room to ventilate for a period between occupants. It is considered available once cleaned by staff. This is not typical hotel Covid protocol after almost 2 years in a pandemic.
The location is excellent, as it’s right in front of Hauptmarkt and you can walk around the city centre. The room was modern and the bathroom fixtures are also modern. The bed was reasonably comfortable.
