Very poor customer service. The crew is acting like working there is a punishment especially in the restaurant. No smiles are all. It should not be like that in 4star hotel. Very poor and little diverse food for breakfast. Hard to believe they can’t prepare anything else besides eggs and pancakes. Renovation during your stay.

Perfect and unique location. Very nice bungalows with now windows- open space with a jungle view (there is mosquito nest).

The food was not that good . Breakfast needs to be buffet and the covid screens need to be removed now . The lack of choice for meals was disappointing and the food was often not hot .

Location was fabulous - there were monkeys and iguanas outside my room ! The setting is lovely and all of the Staff were very helpful the reception was delightful. Bungalows beautifully maintained and situated .

Wifi was not the best. It was also very hot in the rooms and a fan did not cool it down. I also tried to book a turtle tour twice and was not given clear information/direction on both occasions. We tried to book through another tour agency however this was a hassle because we were not staying in the town. On the third attempt to book the tour with our hotel we were finally given clear direction; we need to book a day in advance, once we are booked in for the tour, we will be given a concrete time (a few hours before the tour begins). In the end, we missed out on the experience. This was very disappointing.

Private bungalows with ceiling fan. Lots of wildlife and tons howler monkeys. Beautiful property with a great pool and spa. Meals were buffet style and tables were pre-assigned so no struggling to find a place to sit. Food was terrific. Loved all the food and drink options.

It was a bit touristic because many big groups of organized tours stay there. It lost a bit of charm because of that

The location of the hotel was amazing: bungalows right in the heart of the jungle. It was possible to see and hear a great variety of animals. Experience absolutely recommend

Large lodge used by tour operators, impersonal staff, less than average food, ugly dark dining area. Definitely the worst accommodation we stayed at during our Costa Rica trip. However there is not to much to choose from in Tortuguero NP. The whole area is very touristy. The tours start at same time, a lot of tourists and boats everywhere to spot wildlife.

The many bungalows are spread in the rainforest. There can be wildlife occasionally spotted at the lodge especially monkeys and birds.

There are just moscitonets at the windows, I missed a moscitonet over the bed, because there are a lot of moscitos, so don`t forget the moscitospray.

I stayed there for one week, what is quite unusual, than the guest stays normally for 2 nights. I really enjoyed these beautiful place and saw some tucans, sloths, armadillo, spidermonkeys, howlermonkeys, frogs... The staff was very kind and organised some tours for me or created an other dish, than at the buffet, what I really appreciated. There is also a Spa, what I recommand, they do some really good massages.

As everywhere in Tortuguero you need a water taxi to get to your destination, which could be a bit inconvenient. Also, bathroom does not have any storage capacities, no shelves etc.

Big property with wild life and various vegetation, bungalow size was reasonable. Highlight was the cake that kitchen staff prepared for the birthday of my partner upon my email request free of charge :)

Lovely, very helpful staff. Full coach transport from San Jose and back, but hired a car and drove to the half way restaurant. Arranged by messaging ahead. Left the car there for free and picked it up on the way back k trough. 3 different tours included in the price. All meals included. Truly a wonderful experience.

From the moment of our arrival until our departure, we felt as if we had entered a lavish retreat and were treated like VIPs. The fine accommodations, delicious meals (best we had in CR), wonderful tours, and staff's passionate care and attention to every detail, made this part of our journey exceptional. A special shout out to Dai and Bernardo whose warmth and expertise are unsurpassed in our travels. We saw wildlife we would never have seen on our own and gained much knowledge from the experience.

Nothing. Be aware that the idyllic location across the river from Tortuguero village means you need get a water taxi to head across to the village - only 5min and $3-4. Worth it for the peace and tranquility.

Beautiful setting, stunning pool and lovely chalets in a very private setting surrounded by rainforest teeming with wildlife. Staff were very attentive and professional, the buffet breakfasts and dinners had something for everyone. Bar and restaurant areas spotlessly clean.
