There is something wrong or strange with this hotel in-room a/c conditioning overall. I notice that this hotel keeps vacant room a/c switch on before guest checks in. This only proves the point their in-room a/c is leak and insufficient to keep the in room a/c constant. I wish Management could have been more forth coming when i raised this complaint on my first warm night. Nevertheless the staff was polite, spoke english and did their very best to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

Check in was smooth and fast at Hotel Soul! The facilities, pictures and description from other reviews were accurate. This hotel deco was bit quirky but in a good way. I suspect the room ceiling deco was to mimic the Suzhou traditional grey/white roof design. The most annoying bit was the room was extremely warm and the A/C intermittently blew "hot air" and somehow after complaining to the hotel receptionist, the issue was solved, but only for 1 night, before I requested a new room. All in all, this hotel would have scored a prefect 10 if not for its poor a/c system and condition of the room which as others Travellers have mentioned has rooms which a bit too warm, especially with windows that cannot open up. I got "upgraded" to room on level 7 with windows that do open up but that doesn't really do much to keep the A/C cooling!

We have mixed feelings about breakfasts. On the one hand, they were tasty and carefully assembled (someone out there knows how to serve watermelon chunks without seeds!), but on the other hand we found two or three dishes that had odd flavours.

We highly recommend staying at this hotel in Suzhou. It is super close to main city attractions, has a metro station in proximity and there is also a great Shengjian Bao restaurant nearby. The premises have a modern, international style but it is also proud of being Chinese hotel (there are themed elevators with Chinese achievements). In this hotel you can find a well-equipped fitness zone that you can use for your daily routines. Rooms had a nice design. Despite being located in the crowded city center, it was possible to have a quiet room.

The first room was like a sauna, over 32C with no air-con and window can’t be opened. Thanks to Peter for another cooler one. The shower/WC black door/wall-design of both rooms down-graded the hotel class to a horrible jungle instead of garden.

The gym, the lightings are too funky and too dark... didn't use it as not feeling too safe. On the other side of the gym, there were many rooms but not numbered.

Breakfast is acceptable. Location is superb, close to almost everything. Hotel price is value for money. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Will come and stay again.

The space and time for Breakfast need improvement. The restaurant was very crowded for breakfast. They should open the breakfast a bit earlier. maybe 6:30AM instead of 7:00 AM

The bathroom floor is black in colour and quite dangerous during the night when lights were switched off.

Convenient location and easy accessible to walking street and train station. The family room was really spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Mr Howie and Ms Jessica. They assisted me in retrieving my lost item in Hangzhou by contacting the hotel and following up promptly with them with regards to the delivery process and payment. I like this price value. Hotel in the city centre. The famous restaurant about DerYi restaurant and Son Her restaurant in 5 minutes walk way. Hotel room are clean and breakfast are nice. People can catch Metro from hotel to train station. Catch DiDi are cheap too. In addition, the room are big than normal and new decorations .
