Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyStaff does not speak English and it made communication a little bit difficult. However, they were kind and did whatever they could for supporting me. I was happy with them anyway.
Great location near Zhuque gate inside the Ancient City Wall. All attractions can be reached by walk; but out of the mess of the downtown. Place quiet and clean. Great atmosphere. Price fair.

GermanyThey didn't serve breakfast The rooms didn't smell really fresh and had a slight smoky/damp smell, but with the window open it smelled good. Some parts of the room are slightly worn down.
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is at a great location, right next to the wall, inside the old part of town. Around the corner are many local restaurants, and especially in the evening there are lots of tables and chairs on the sidewalk and you can have a tasty local dinner there. Also several coffee-bars, bars and night clubs just around the corner. The view from the roof terrace of the hotel is great! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed is comfy. Due to Covid (and that there are only a few guests staying here) they don't serve breakfast. Note that the Pusu Jade Boutique (floors 2 and 3) and Pusu Zen Collection (floor 4) are the same hotel. The view on the city wall are the best from the 3rd and 4th floor. Value for money.

ChinaHotel staff were welcoming and friendly. English speaking was limited but plenty to get by. Rooms were clean and comfortable and there was always fresh water and clean sheets available. Optional laundry service was a good addition Location is good, in the middle of Xi’an’s city walls. Breakfast was small but nice, and the rooftop space was a bonus too with views of the top of the wall!

Hong KongThere are many bars nearby so it can still be a bit noisy even late at night. It was also a bit difficult to flush the toilet.
It was a great location very close to the city wall. The staff was kind and gave good advice. There were also adorable cats in entry. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfy. The building is old, which gives it a historical feeling. It is also foreigner friendly with an easy check-in process.

ChinaThe ground floor and reception is a sort of "cat cafe" and they are everywhere. It also smells a bit. However, they are confined to this area and can't access the rest of the hotel so it was ok. My kids loved them however. And the big dog that lives with them!
We had a lovely time here and it is a fantastic location overlooking the city walls. The rooms are stylish and very clean. The roof terrace is fantastic. We stayed in two rooms, both great although a bit of noise from bars downstairs in the front rooms. Staff were excellent and very kind to my children. They did everything they could to help us and to assist with trips out of Xian. Also great communication before our booking. We enjoyed Xian and will return. When we do we'll stay at PuSu Jade.

United KingdomThe biggest and main downside is the bars below. Fortunately I had brought ear plugs but the music from the bar below was incredibly loud in the bedrooms. Sound does travel through concrete buildings but even so, it was very loud. The first night we managed to tolerate it but the second night I couldn't. The staff were fast and helpful at accommodating us to a new room at the opposite side and up a level away from the noise which was better. We could still hear some music but it wasn't thumping to the same extent. If you're susceptible to noise, bring ear plugs and the higher the floor, the better. The bed was harder than my European preference but that's a 'me' problem. Just worth noting if you're the same. I ended up with increasingly painful shoulders over the 3 days. My girlfriend was absolutely fine so important for me to acknowledge again, it's me, not the hotel!
The hotel was in a very good location, within an easy walking distance to different attractions. There were lots of bars on the street and a huge market at the end of the road to grab breakfast each day. The hotel was deceivingly big with lots of different rooms over different levels giving it some character rather than just a plain, rectangular box. We didn't eat at the hotel as the market was so conveniently placed at the end of the road. It was easy to get taxis to tourist sites as on the other side of the city wall was a main road. The staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs, saying hello politely is something small but not necessarily something that happens everywhere in China so was a nice thing. The beds are not hard but they're not soft. I prefer softer. The room didn't have loads of windows to outside so was darker than others I've stayed in which suits me for sleeping. In Xi'An, you're not going to be spending copious amounts of time in the room anyway. This hotel was reasonably priced for the quality.

EcuadorThe issue is the Karaoke and bar is located at the first floor, so you hear noise after 11:00 and it forced me to ask for a different room, staff was very kind about. Another thing was the moist smell, but it got solved with the new room.
Around the place you can reach the main tourist attractions. Rooms are fancy. If you get bored you can go down and have some Karaoke night and drinks.
