-Room was too bright for sleeping and window coverings didn’t keep enough light out. -Holes in bathroom wall needed repairs. -Smoke alarm started chirping in middle of the night due to low battery.

The room with double size bed was not comfortable. The bed is hard and squeaky and there is too much light coming through the window (even with the curtains fully closed).

The view was fantastic. We were in room 216, on the corner (2 bedrooms unit) and there was a beautiful corner balcony. The location was great, on the beach and near everything in Osoyoos!

Walls seemed a little thin as you could hear the neighbours coding in to their rooms.

Richter pass is centrally situated on the lake. Rooms were comfortable and updated. If you are there for the outdoor activities this is a great value.

There’s no breakfast at this location. There’s a big gap under the door for noise and cold, and it was a tad noisy being right beside the road.

So dirty!! I honestly thought the price was low because it’s the off season in Osoyoos, but this was the most run down motel room I’ve ever stayed in. There was mold growing on the ceiling, paint peeling, spiders and nests everywhere, smudges and brown drips on the walls, and broken blinds on the window. The brightest lights right outside the front and back windows with no blackout curtains so the room was incredibly bright all night long. The room was so hot when we checked in that we had to open the windows to cool it down after turning off the baseboards and there was so much noise, cigarette and pot smoke wafting into our room. Horrible stay. If it wasn’t just a place to sleep after an incredibly long day of driving, and instead an actual vacation i would be even more upset, and would have moved somewhere else. I wish i could add more pictures.

The kitchen was less than I had hoped. There were two burners but no oven. The burners were slow to get hot so my plans for Christmas dinner weren't realistic. It took an hour to cook some onions in a frying pan. Also, the plumbing was weird. On the bathtub and the kitchen sink, the "hot" was actually the "cold" and it took up to 5 minutes to get really hot. On one night, the water stopped working for a period of time. I found the plumbing a bit inconvenient. I was asked to deal with my own garbage at the end of the week. I kind of thought that was part of staying in a motel...they are very short staff and I know this is a big problem in every industry. I'm sure the staff that IS there works very hard and kudos to all service staff who are pushing through!

The view from my window every morning was great, and I could cross the street to enjoy the lake and a little walk. The Richter Pass is also centrally located so it's a short walk to the Sage Pub one way and downtown the other way, at least for an avid walker! The code protected locking system was really convenient as compared with searching for a room key. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery and dishes, plus dish soap so I could keep things clean. They upgraded me...but I don't know what that meant and I can't remember what the pictures looked like when I booked, so it's hard to comment on how accurately my room was represented.

I had a question or two about check in and tried to call about 3 times throughout the day to get an answer. Left a message but my call was never answered and my message never returned. This was the only real down side. Parking numbers were a little hard to read in the dark
