How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

What we liked less: - Hinton is an hour's drive from Jasper, making it quite far from the excursions we had planned (Maligne Canyon, Pyramid Lake, etc.). Driving an extra hour after a busy day probably doesn't justify the price difference compared to staying directly in Jasper. - Hinton, from what we saw, isn't very welcoming (a highway lined with hotels and restaurants). - The reception at the hotel was one of the coldest we encountered during our trip. - Prior to our arrival, responses to my questions about local activities were very vague.
5th stop of our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, we spent 2 nights at Best Western Plus Hinton Inn & Suites. What we liked: + Beautiful room with comfortable bedding, well-equipped + Enjoyable pool/jacuzzi area + More than adequate breakfast + Fairly good value for money

I have no objections, everything was satisfactory.
Our stay at the Hinton Best Western Plus was the most satisfactory experience during our entire vacation. The staff demonstrated exceptional courtesy and attentiveness, while the facilities exceeded our expectations. Furthermore, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the on-site restaurant.

The staff and management was above and beyond. They understood that us being charged for 2 rooms when we only stayed in one room was wrong and looked into it twice and help solve the issue without making us look dumb. We also forgot toothpaste and they gave us the items for free. I felt at home. We will definitely be back at this location soon!

Only one thing I did not like was the individual (male) that registered me in.He never made any welcoming jestures. Note. Thus was the same person who registered me on a previous stay, and his mannerisms were the same then. If it were not for so many positives to my stay I would be looking at alternatives.
The cleanliness, very courteous ,friendly,helpfull, and professional al staff.with one exception The bedding was very comfortable.

Door of shower does not close properly. leaking on to washroom floor. (came in and saw that the rug was holding the door shut (so staff are aware but not fixing it?)

I didn't like the pillows for sleeping, they were a bit to high for me. I thought the beds were a bit too high for a 3 year old to sleep in on his own.
I liked what they had on offer for breakfast.

We were put in a room without heat and had to move rooms at 1 am. (During a cold snap of -36°C). The supervisor refused to resolve my complaint and I had to wait for a “manager” to contact me the next day. He resolved it. But the acting supervisor should always be able to resolve complaints themselves immediately, to keep up appearances for the hotel chain.
Comfy, clean and modern.

We cant think of anything
We wanted a hotel that was easy to find as we had been on the Glacier walk and then drove to Hinton so we got there late in the afternoon. It was very comfortable and had an included breakfast and a seperate restaurant on site

Everything is perfect.
The breakfast was excellent, many options, freshly made and plenty. The breakfast area has ample space for everyone, and kept very clean. The bathroom is spacious and very clean. We stayed in a two-queen suite with a kitchenette, the room is so spacious for 4 people!

The only thing was we went for breakfast, and the chair my daughter sat on had a broken leg. So she ended up tipping sideways, spilling her orange juice to the left and right of her, and all down her new shirt bought for an activity we had planned in jasper that day. We put the chair in the corner and made sure the kitchen and front desk staff knew what had happened.
