How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fact to pay for the garage when I booked it was included, although they said it wasn't. What could I do . I was already there.so I had to pay per day about $8.00(R$40). Also the room service no good.they have a sandwich (cold) only so we decided no to get it from the hotel.
Well the room was really neat. Nothing to complain.

There was no window in the bathroom and the exhaust system was not working.

I guess it is Ibis Budget but still they could be more creative with the room space they have got and give a couple of storage places in the room. Size is definitely not good for a family atleast the one that we stayed in.
The location is central and the wifi is very good for those interested to work a little. The tourist spots are nearby too. The room is clean and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The service is outstanding as we had a personal request and they helped us on that too!

It’s very difficult to contact the hotel, as well as the reservations staff, over the phone. There isn’t good communication between front desk and reservations. Need to improve. Towels are quite old. Date back to 2017 - 2018

The hallway carpets smelled like mold, the bathroom had sewer smell, the sink would not drain properly, and the toilet bowl was dirty. The fridge was not cleaned and wasn’t working. The air conditioning had a squeaky noise that would wake us up during the night. Also, the mechanic ventilation in the bathroom was not working.
I liked how close it was to downtown and the breakfast was also very well served.

The staff were unhelpful and didn’t provide much assistance when we asked basic questions about services nearby or activities to do. They often said they ‘didn’t know’. Also, we left 2 days early and inquired about a refund for the remaining two nights. Reception said they would get back to us via email, but we never heard from the hotel again despite many emails and messages through booking.com. They do not want to respond to you in person or online.
The property was in a good location and the breakfast buffet was generous with many options

No plug available for someone outside the country! I didn’t have the adapter! I would recommend have a USB plug?? Also no plug by the bed!

Reception staff is rude, unprofessional, and has low attitude. Everytime I asked her questions in English. She understood and turned her face to answer to my partner in Portuguese instead of talking with me in English every single time so my partner has to translate to me again.. It is very rude and very low attitude (I don't want to use "racist" word because it is quite strong word and has very strong meaning) Moreover, I asked her again in English about changing room from 1st floor to be another floor because we want quiet room not lots of noise. She ignored my request and answered in Portuguese again that this room is fine and there is no available room but when other customers came to check in, appearently there is available room for them. About bed and pillow are not comfortable. There are lots of dirty strain on bed sheet. All light switches are dirty especially inside bathroom like there is dried booger on it 🤮 so we had to cleaned all of light switches inside the room. And the room that reception said fine, there were dragging and hitting noises until 1am!

the noises on the rooms next to mine and the location of the building, my side was right above an apartment complex and it was very noisy at night, hard to sleep if it weren’t for how comfortable the mattress was!
the theme of the hotel, was excellent! very fun and 1960’s vibe.
