Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No lift
Lovely staff—the lady at the front desk went out of her way to help me out with protecting an important document. The room was clean, spacious and had everything you need for a short stay. Third floor was not noisy.

No shower cap or body lotion provided but two lots of shampoo and conditioner. A greater selection of tea bags would have been nice. The shower was very tight I wondered how a big person would fit as I am on the small side.
Great location and very clear instructions. I had no problems with access. Room was very comfortable and stylish.

A shelf in the bathroom would have been useful as there was nowhere to put things.

I vacated the room Sunday morning at 10, as per protocol. However, I had a late flight at 7 pm to Melbourne...Reception on Sunday closes at 1 pm....They should have told me, or mentioned to to all guests about this Sunday restriction... I couldn't leave my luggage at reception...I asked to keep the key to access my luggage at 5 and leave the key in the lockup box outside the main door,as same process when I picked up the key on Friday night, (as I had I arrived late)...Staff could have been more flexible...They may have had other guests with similar issues...?

It can be noisy but i dont think that can be helped in the location its in.
Ive stayed here a few times and always enjoy it.never any issues and close to anything needed. Although it can be noisy in the mornings but that cant be helped.

Telstra phone service in the building was very poor, but the wifi worked well. I had to do online meetings & work, so the phone service was a bit of an issue. Some hanging space/hooks on the walls would have been a bit handy, as I was there for a few days & it would have been good to hang some clothes. There are no lifts, and 3 stories of stairs, it wasn't an issue for me, but may be if there was limited mobility - something to be expected in this style of accommodation..
Lovely helpful staff, beautiful setting. Great area to stay at, so close to the city and fabulous coffee & food options. Very clean and well appointed. Such a funky old style guest house, it had a great vibe.

Our room faced the street so it was quite noisy particularly in the early morning when garbage trucks were doing the rounds. Also whenever someone walked up the internal stairs you could hear noise. This isnt the fault of the owners, it's just the location & the fact that it's an older building & not much sound proofing. The sliding door to the ensuite didn't shut properly & the vent above the the shower was dusty and needs cleaning.
The room was clean & comfortable. It is in a great location, close to public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had our room ready earlier than the check in time which we really appreciated.

The bed was too short for me. The room was very small for the price. The shower on my floor was out of order. The AC was preset to 22 degrees (which you aren't allowed to change) but I didn't notice/feel whether it was on or off. They had a TV but there was no wire connected so I couldn't watch TV, it was basically useless.
The location was great, within walking distance from major tourist points, everything was very sanitary and the staff was very helpfull. I came in late but they had perfectly set it up so I could arrive later without any hassle or confusion.

Noise outside on the street is a bit of hindrance. But as it is in any busy town, it is a thing to count on.
Proximity to the centre is the best thing about the place. We walked everywhere. One can enjoy the scenery and exercise in the same time.
