How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Hard to drop off luggage if you are driving over and not planning to use their overpriced carpark. Cleaning only took place after your 3rd night and it was very simple tidying up and towel changes.
The central location and overall accessibility, staff were nice and rooms were nice and comfy for a week stay in Sydney especially if you wanted to pack light and do your own laundry & light cooking. Facilities were good and clean and I felt safe staying here.

Quality suite, very comfortable. We stay here whenever in Sydney. Staff helpful and friendly. Great location, close to restaurants and light rail stop.

Everytime we entered the room and put the card in the power switch, the dishwasher would start. In the end I just left the dishwasher door open so it wouldn't start.
Loved the comfort of the bed.

Nothing I disliked.
Comfortabe suite with all the kitchen / laundry and bathroom amenities you could need, cozy bed, friendy staff and fantastic location right in the middle of everything.

1. Drying machine was out of order 2. I asked to call a Hotel Taxi to airport but driver cheated on me(double the taxi fare) I will use Uber taxi to go to airport next time. Don't use hotel taxi through concierge service

tea towel needed replacing and fridge leaked.
Appartment Clean, fresh & fully equipped. Staff lovely. Location fabulous as we had a show to attend at the Capitol theatre.

Last time I had a really well sized room which I thought I’d get again as though booking.com they said it was a free upgrade with using them all the time - no face clothes and they only do towels every few days it would be good to know this when booking in - but they were great at bringing more towels when we got the phone going
It’s very handy to town and was very quiet

A little hard to find the entry but it makes the location feel a little safer and quieter. Staff are friendly and acknowledge you even if they are busy. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Transport at the door - great location.

The mattress is too soft for my back. The shower door is so tall that I had trouble swinging my towel over it. The shower head placement is also too high. I had to tip toe to take the shower hose off the hook. The floor tiles in the bathroom are very slippery. Those are wall tiles and are not suitable to be used in bathrooms especially the shower area.
The kitchenette and laundry facilities made the stay comfortable

however, the hotel was not honest towards the price. When I checked in, the staff then told me I have to pay for 1.6% extra surcharge (higher than Reserve Bank of Australia's 1.5% cost estimates) due to credit card payment. Then I asked whether the hotel accept cash. The staff replied they did not accept cash payment - which means you MUST PAY FOR EXTRA! I didn't receive any information prior to my arrival so be cautious when booking this apartment.

hotel could have took the initiative to inform us about the car lift when we asked them about parking charges via booking.com hotel should have informed us during check-in about the housekeeping frequencies
