Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was fantastic!
The ease of access, security when we were out & about ... and in particular the pristine presentation of the property. Very quiet location and only 300 metres stroll to food/shops. Fabulous in every respect.

There is no NBN so that limited the supplied smart TV.
Very nice and fully furnished one bedroom townhouse incl kitchen. Just on the edge of Bright's main street and on the bike path, plenty of trees out front, and quiet. It felt secure with a lock up garage too. It was a naturally cool to cold house, but a heater in the bedroom and reverse air conditioning in the lounge were able to warm the house up. Bathroom was clean and a good space. Queen bed was good and comfortable - medium firm mattress. It also has a nice private courtyard and a front veranda to relax outside. The host Meredith was friendly, clear and straight forward.

Main bedroom too far from aircon at front of accommodation. Has ceiling fan, but difficult to cool room down. Mattress was good quality but bit firm for our preference. As side sleepers, we found it a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps if the room could be cooled down more, our sleep overall would have been better and we wouldn't have noticed the firmness of the mattress so much. There are plenty of guests who would love the firmness of the mattress though. Accommodation may benefit from a nice lamp or two in the lounge room area, to create some cosy nighttime low lighting, instead of the main ceiling lights. A slightly larger dining table, that could accommodate two chairs side-by-side, would be nice so that a couple can both sit looking out the window and enjoying the view. Current dining table bit small for that. Honestly no big deal though
Immaculately clean! Fully self-contained with proper kitchen, including cooktop, coffee pod machine (+ pods), med sized fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. Nice TV with access to streaming services (no wifi though; you need to hotspot your own internet to the TV). Split system aircon in lounge dining kitchen area. Large bathroom with bathtub. Lockup garage with new front loader washer (BYO clothes washing powder/detergent). Lovely little deck out the front of accommodation, with two chairs and a table, overlooking beautiful quiet street with large trees and mountain tops visible in the distance - very serene. Nice little sunlit internal courtyard area with table and chairs too. Pricing very good value, especially considering you're getting a fully self-contained accommodation

The only thing I would say is that with so many trees the house felt a little dark - other than that everything else was wonderful

It was a very spacious and newly renovated townhouse and even though it was so close to the shopping centre it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Having a garage for our car was also a bonus. We stayed 2 nights so we can enjoy the cycling Bright had to offer and was pleasantly surprised to find one of the trails just outside our door.

Lack of wifi isn't acceptable in 2023. Particularly when phone reception isn't strong. This also meant no streaming services available on TV.
Spacious and well equipped, super close to town. Liked having a garage, laundry and bath. Kitchen well appointed with dishwasher and microwave. Comfortable bed.

Nothing I didnt like.
Great location, just a short walk to town. Clean and tidy, very comfy bed and new bathroom. Garage for car. Sunny spot out the front for a coffee in the morning
