Breakfast was of hot an cold variety and food was tasty and of good quality. Staff was always present and friendly. If I wanted a luxury weekend, I would have booked a different hotel, but had to be prepared to pay much higher price. While they build on an old-time luxury hotel heritage, they were able to refurbish the place so it’s contemporary, very pretty and most importantly incredibly comfy. We loved our room, it was spatious, well designed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious. We also really enjoyed the cozy lobby bar with the view over the main street. Everything appears to be well maintained and is in a good working order. Even the knives a razor sharp. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The furnishings and the interior in general have a light touch of contemporary luxury which was a nice bonus. Would stay again.
